I think this is a newly opened shop, located at 502 S. 8th St in Colo Springs (over opposite the humane society building).
A nice clean shop with a heavy emphasis on Glock parts and AR parts. Zev slides, triggers etc. They had several PCC and pistol varients of the CMMG AR, the SIG Scorpion and the Kriss on display. I'm still debating whether or not I want a PCC. A large selection of Smith & Wesson M&P pistols as well as a good set of Canik's which you don't see everywhere these days.
They also have a silencer display. Some nice used firearms although the higher end stuff. They had a older Smith & Wesson Model 58 in a nice presentation case that looked unfired and was priced accordingly as an example. We will have to see if it is still there when I have the price in hand.
Pleasant enough young man listened to my stories but I've not bought anything from them yet.

Nice store. They will have to up their inventory game to compete with the gun stores in town. I would have seen more, but the Great Dane shop dog was like "despite what you think, you are here to pet me, not look at some stupid guns. (I smell Doritos on you.)

Yep.
Went in today. Nice building and layout. I know the owner from his roofing days, wasn't a big fan of his ethics. Looks like they recycled some people from other places. I'll stop in again in a few weeks and see if they have anything I can't live without.

This place used to be my go to for transfers and accessories. Over, over the course of 2019, I have watched it go from one of the best gun shops, to, in my opinion, the worst in town. I cannot recommend them to anyone.
What started as $10 ship in transfers is now $100. Yes, $100 for a ship in transfer. While I was there last, I overheard an employee (possibly owner?) talking about how his "sick and tired of people coming in to look at guns, then lose the sale to an online dealer with a better price. This may sound crazy to me, but if you are losing a price battle, maybe adjust your business model and pricing?
I used to be in there so frequently that the staff knew my name, and didn't have to ask "does your driver's license have your current address?" They seem to have gotten rid of those helpful people, and now primary staff guys that I have not had a great customer service experience with.
Additionally, the last time I was in there, they did not have much in stock. What used to walls filled with more interesting guns now primarily looks like its hunting focused (wooden stocks). ]
On top of all of this, they closed for 2+ weeks recently with no communication other than a sign on their door, which you have to jump a chain to read. Even their site redirected to some other store, and no answer from phones.
I have a few things that I have paid them for that they are waiting to get in stock, but after that, it's good riddance to Kodiak for me.

Yes, I did not appreciate my last visit either. Dramatic change in the non-tangible atmosphere. Not returning.

And, they're closed.
Big "For Lease" sign in the front windows.
Paul Paradis is probably relieved :)
Minuses:
Got muzzled multiple times
I kinda wondered. The one time I went in there I asked about some .38 and before I could finish my statement the neophyte behind the counter (that barely looked old enough to buy guns, let alone sell them) interrupted with "what do you mean?" and proceeded to list off several oddball .38 calibers before coming to ".38 Special." So he was more interested in making a customer feel small and show off his wealth of knowledge of archaic calibers than actually help. I just chalked it up to him being a typical obnoxious kid and not made the connection to the running of the shop.

Did you ever get your stuff from them?

Back in the day if you said ".38", "Super" would have come to my mind first! :)
