While the above occurred in Arizona, I know that we all have seen similar examples of egregious behavior here in Colorado or wherever your home is here stateside.

Be safe, pick up after yourselves and demand the same of your shooting buddies, and everyone else around you without being a jerk.

The latest vandalism trend in Pueblo is shooting a flare gun into a house.

I just don't understand the mentality of stuff like that. So sad.

Have you ever looked at the ceiling at an indoor range? I remember a bullet hole in the back wall behind the shooting positions over at The Shootist.

I don't either.

I posted my pics of Pawnee many years back. Spent more time cleaning than shooting. Never been back.

That's insane. And I get pissed about people blowing the shit out of the wooden target frames out at BLGC.

Shootist is a laid back Range, maybe too laid back at times . I haven't been there since Remodel , but James is pretty cool kat IMO.

It's a real shame in the national forest spots. I used to go out on weekdays I had off with big contractor bags, rakes, gloves, friends, etc and we'd bag up and carry off lots of trash and empties. I left trash cans once with signs asking to put your trash in them to make it easier for us (at my expense of course) and came back to find the cans used as target stands, because why the fuck not.

In deed. A shame to see people trash these areas. I spent a a lot of time cleaning up areas I shoot at. I do it, because it's the right thing to do and to prevent USFS from closing area.

It's impossible to clean faster than the pigs trash and pollute the national forests. Some of my favorite areas are now closed off, pushing more people into smaller areas.

I'm hesitant to approach a pig who is carrying a firearm. If they have no regard for nature, they likely have no regard for people. Bad things can happen.

Deer cameras mounted in the areas were folks park facing downrange. Then start sending the video to LE and Forest Rangers.

People destroying public/private property with guns will not go away unfortunately. Those that are constantly disappointed in gun owners need to change their paradigm before the coronary. No, I'm not part of the problem. No, I don't have a solution.

That will work about one time. However catching one guilty party is better than catching zero, and maybe word will get out.

I dunno, it could work more than that. 3x cameras in 3x locations, mounted in trees, 10’ - 20’ off the ground. Being observant of their surroundings is not a strength most of these dirt bags possess. That or ghillie up and after observing an infraction shoot out their tires with a suppressed .22. I kid. Sort of.

Don't take my negativity the wrong way, the way public lands are treated makes me sick.

A friend told me of finding on a forest road a stack of randomly felled trees. They had been cut down from repeated gunfire. All around were broken bottles and shattered orange skeet disks. The area was seriously trashed.

I came across this a few days ago. Fancy shootin', ain't it?

Saw a flat panel TV on private property full of holes near my house. People drive out here and just pick a spot to shoot, without permission. I'll pick up the TV today and figure out how to dispose of it. People suck.

Bocco fire now over 400 acres. Started by idiots shooting exploding targets at unofficial gun range near Wolcott. This is why we can't have nice things.

This is why I always pull overy on the road and take a picture of shooters licence plates. Never know when that information will become valueable.

So once you get their plates, what do you do with them?

Was wondering the same thing myself, guess I can't go shooting on public land without concern of some creeper running reconnaissance on me.

I hang on to the photos in case there is a fire or incident in the area. Information could come in useful if there is a press release.

Typically as well if I see people shooting trees I sure I take photos of the shooters and a licence plate while ensuring my presence is noted. My hope is that it sends a message.

Have you ever driven along 96 or 57? Or been to Pine?I'm sure I have at some point, but I don't need to have been there to know I don't agree with your "Forrest Recon" practices. If you witness someone committing a crime, then absolutely document, if safe to do so, but snapping photos "just in case", absolutely absurd.

I don't mean to sound rude, but tell that to the person who was shot in the forest a few weeks back off Rampart Range Road when nobody stood up like a man.

Being in public view reserves no expectation of privacy. They are seeking those who may have started the fire. They just had a description to go off, but pictures and any id tags would of help tremendously.

Not doing anything wrong, no need to worry. Got plenty of random drivers on windshield cam in case they commit an offense causing a crash or injury. Ends the he said she said cases with hard evidence. No different than the thousands of security cams that can be reviewed by LE.

Better to take pictures and let LE handle it, than approach the wrong a holes and end up dead.

I feel bad for the farmer. His land is targeted because there is a driveway provided by the oil biz.

Never said it did, but taking random pics of folks going about there business in public view, makes you a creeper IMO, unless, like I already said, they are actively committing a crime.

There are no rules and no concept of safety when shooting on public lands with people you don't know. That's why I never do it.

This kind of behavior is exactly why I fear our gun rights will be removed eventually, no matter how hard we responsible gun enthusiasts try, a few village idiots and crazies are all it takes to ruin everything.
