View Full Version : Is there something bad going on at Silencerco?
Are they having supply problems or cash flow problems? I ordered a 3 lug mount and 3 lug muzzle device while they were on sale for Momorial Day and the emails they sent said all items were shipped and everything was normal. When I got the package the packing slip said the 3 lug mount was on back order and the other item was there. I emailed them and asked when the other item may ship and they said 2 weeks. I waited 2 weeks and asked again. They said 2 weeks. This was on 5/29. Now they are having a buy one get one sale. They took my money and are taking money for the cans but nothing is being delivered yet. So I ask. Does anyone know if something shady going on over there or should I just hurry up and wait some more?
I forget the details, but it was rumoured they are in financial straights because of poor spending. (Rumoured extravagant parties etc) Guess sales of contracts and things like the maxim were not doing as well as theyd hoped etc. Just the rumor mill stuff I'd read.
I got my mount today. I knew once I asked about it in public it would show up. Its how those things work I guess. But no notice or tracking number sent. It was just here today. I hope they can pull out of whatever ass they seem to be stuck in. I have had good dealings with them and I hope this is only a hickup.

Did you contact them before this about the issue?

I suspect they were banking on the HPA having passed already when they added a bunch of staff a couple years ago. Lord knows I'm glad I didn't actually apply with them when they were advertising a Graphic Designer position as I'd probably be unemployed but stuck in Utah (as opposed to being unemployed and living in CO with a house I have a shit ton of equity in should I have to sell)
I contacted them every couple of weeks for an update.

Kevin Brittingham thinks they are going under (founder of AAC, successfully sued Freedom group for 14 million for breach of contract when kicked out of AAC, founder of Q) since he has been there, done that. But that is his opinion.

So ifn' y'all want a Maxim9, now is probably the time to do it.
I ordered a piston for my can from them. Got an email a few days later saying that they didn't actually have any. They offered a refund or I could go on back order. I chose refund, still haven't seen my money.
