A some of you know,Weld County Fish and Wildlife and myself host the Rocky Mountain Regional Classic GSSF Match on August11&12th this year. I’d like to mail out posters and info to anyone who would be willing to post and advertise for this match At their club or ?
Each year Glock not only gives away thousands of dollars in prizes, but also draws in many NEW shooters to these events. Most importantly these people VOTE and we need all the help we can get.
If if you’d be willing to assist with this, it would be much appreciated.
Sincerly,
Wayne Seale.

Wow. I get one reply and he didn’t include his address.

I said I was from FRIDPA I thought that was enough. Also you can attach files to the PMs, sounds a bit ungrateful to me.

Sorry, I still don’t know what FRIDPA IS. A local club I assume. I replied to your message asking for an addie, so I could mail it. As for attaching a file, that I don’t have, that’s it....I don’t have one. What I have is what I stated, a poster. (Actually I think the correct term would be flyer)
The assumption of me being ungrateful is far from fact.
(Not aimed at Mick, as he did inquire and I’m appreciative of that) The aggravation is knowing there are numerous shooting bodies on here and none care to help spread the word. The reason, I believe, is that shooters are one of our own worse enemies. By trait, it seems we are all strong minded people. Dedicated to what we love. The problem arises when we seperate “our” shooting sport from another. I’ve seen this time and time again 8n everything from the media to local clubs. I’ve been on the board of two large clubs, always the same thing....shotgunners don’t like pistol guys, pistol guys don’t like shotgunners, trap doesn’t like skeet and so on.
Me? As example to his case, bench rest is the most boring anal shooting sport I can think of. BUT, if one of them asked me to put a flyer out about some big match, I’d tape it up next trip.
You want to lose even more of your rights, keep on not supporting ANY type of shooters. Just like the bumper sticker says, “they won’t take your hunting rifle, they’ll call it a sniper rifle first.”
The GSSF matches are, IMO, one of the easiest shooting sports for guys to get their feet wet. Every year we have shooters who have NEVER shot any event before. Are some dangerous? At times, but where you think they’re going to get “schooled” on safety? Watching TV or being ROed by experienced competitors?
Anybody ant to help out, please PM me an addie. I’ll mail you one, till I run out, on my dime.
Again, frustration not aimed at MIck and understand his interpretation. Mick, hope to see you come shoot.
Sorry for the delay Wayne. I was out working forest fires and then I was overseas.
I have been spreading the word about your match and I plan to be there for Fridays set up with a person or two.
If you have any electronic flyers, please send them to me and I will get them out to my email lists.
FRIDPA is Front Range IDPA. They run IDPA matches at Clear Creek in the mountains and Colorado Springs. Been around since IDPA started.
Your 100% correct. Shooters are our own worst enemy. Lots of people don't like to get outside their chosen sandbox and everyone that doesn't play with them is bad.
Prime example... NRA Whittington Center in Raton. New management at the center just killed a 16 year old match and a 5 year old match for some stupid reason.
