So who had any controversial conversation during your celebratory independence day festivities?

I had a non-gun owner type, not really anti-gun, ask what my "biggest" gun I have. To which I smiled with a wink. I went on to answer 30-06, which I let her know was a bolt action hunting rifle. I then was asked if I owned a "AK47"? I kinda know what she was really asking but literally I don't own an AK so I said no. She was probably wondering if I owned one of those evil "assault weapons" but didn't have the knowledge to express herself. So be it, I didn't have to lie and kept the conversation polite.

So how did your party conversations go?

The most controversial thing that happened at our fourth was that one attendee preferred their steak medium ... we almost kicked them out but decided to be gracious and burn their meat for them instead (they were thrilled ... thankfully they didn't ask for ketchup or that would have been the final straw).

Other than that we don't really associate with leftists anymore since most of them have become intolerable bigots that think everyone to the right of Noam Chomsky is a Nazi.

My neighbors told me I couldn't shoot down the 5 drones that were above my house... filming the fireworks at bellview and windmere... it was a constant annoying hum for about 30 mins. I told them I'd use a suppressed rifle and they were floundering on the idea by the time the show was over.

I laid in bed with cluster headaches and wondered when my next prescription from the VA would arrive in the mail. Tracking says they are still at the VA pharmacy. Cluster headaches are supposedly the most painful medical condition known. I have one pill left. Yesterday, the VA told me I need to make an appointment. I have one pill left...

I went to the range during the day and then sat inside and watched the Indiana Jones marathon on the Paramount network.

My kid was completely satisfied with some pop its and sparklers. I was disappointed but glad I got out cheap.
