View Full Version : Plated handgun bullet suggestions?
With XTreme bullets demise, I'm again looking for a good plated bullet manufacturer that sells in bulk. None of this "Quantity 500" stuff, I'm looking for 115gr 9mms in quantities of 4000, 230gr .45s in quantites of 2000, etc.
Suggestions?

Check out Rocky Mountain Reloading (RMR ) bullets. You can get jacketed bullets almost as cheap as plated and they are really consistent.

They just added plated too (but it's only $2.00 less than jacketed at the 2,000 quantity):

This.... very high quality.
Have to be plated?
Or jacketed, but not straight lead. Tired of digging lead out of barrels.

I like the poly stuff from Bayuo Bullets.

Another big +1 for RMR Bullets! Get on their mailing list. They're having a great sale right now on 9mm 124gr bullets and .224 as well! I've run their plated for a long time, before they started making their own FMJ, and they're incredibly accurate! Their newer FMJ offerings are excellent, especially when on sale! Some here also like the Eggleston Munition offerings, but I've not used them.

+1 for RMR been very happy with their products. Sign up on their FB page, there's a sale almost every month.
Plated: https://accuraoutdoors.com/product-category/plated-bullets/ They will do larger orders, just call them. Better than Xtreme, and frankly, better than most jacketed.

RMR are great and priced well. Eggleston I have tried a few thousand and would use again. I used to use Berry’s but switched due to price.
I have been shooting lots of Eggleston coated bullets. Not only are they local, but the bullets are excellent.
He did a run of 10K pink 147s that I have been putting through my 9mm belt fed upper. Happiness is a 150 round nut sack dump in about 10-15 seconds. Even with all that heat and pressure, no lead in the barrel or can.
