I bought this knife when I was 14 from a pawnshop and thought it was a cool throwing knife. Only to find out it wasn't and I broke the handle on it. Now I want to put it back together and not throw it anymore. Take a look at the pictures and tell me what you think? Should be a simple job. But before I screw it up I thought I'd ask some advice first. I need to replace some pins. Where do I get those? I need to glue it back together. What would you suggest I use?
Thanks in advance.

The pins would be available at ace, you'd have to cut them to length and mash the ends. Hard to suggest a glue without knowing what the grips are made of, probably gorilla glue.

I think they are plastic.

I usually use 5 minute epoxy, the two ton holding strength. For pins, if it had brass pins, you can use brass brazing rod found at a welding shop. They usually come in a 36"length, so you will have to cut and grind to fit. For stainless pinstock, or nickel, I order from Jantz knife supply.

Thanks. After I fix it and clean it up it should look like a sweet little knife again. I don't remember if it had a sheath but it doesn't now. Its just a wall hanger. But I have been putting it off for 25 years now and it keeps popping up when I am looking for something else. And I want to fix it before I loose anymore parts.

+1 for Epoxy. I would score the pins and scuff the surfaces to get good adhesion. I would also use clamps make sure they're compressed while it sets, then no more throwing ;)

That's funny. I was living in Englewood when I bought and broke that knife. I have real throwing knives now. Well balanced with no handles. Once I locate the pins I am going to epoxy it clean off all the old glue too clamp it and once its repaired I am going to polish back to its former glory. I will post a picture for others to see maybe inspire them to fix something they have been putting off for a long while.
