I have a chance to buy a large quantity of small pistol primers as part of a package deal. I don't actually use this size, so I'll be trying to sell them. Are they in demand? How much should I expect to be able to get for them?

10k as soon as possible please, if price is max. $30 / 1000 pcs and it is decent stuff like CCI or Winchester.
Edit: other US stuff like Federal or Remington is also ok for me. Wolf is not something I am interested in ;)

I'd say $25-$30 per 1000 would be fair. That was the average price range before anybody had ever heard of Barack Obama. I'd be interested.

The demand for the Small Pistol Primers has dwindled in the past couple of months. It seems like most people have stashed away their share of primers and the prices have stabilized right around $30/1,000 (the pre-Obama price was closer to $25/1,000).

Even the price of the primers at the gun shows are back to "normal". There was a point around 6 months ago when people were so desperate to find them that they were paying $45/K at the shows but those days are gone (at least until November 2012).

Wolf is about $28 per k
Rem/CCI/Win are about $30 per k
Fed is about $32 per k
Fed Match is about $35 per k
MagTec, don't have a clue...

I see the prices you have listed could I buy like 5k each from you for that as I can not find anything like that anyplace on the net that has them all in the same price for anything close to that. every site seems to be out unless its wolf or mag tech here or there. then if I do find one company that has some and I want 5k they make me add $20 something for hazmat and some more for shipping.

so that $30 box of 1k worth of primers has just shot up to $36 or so.
I would rather just buy from you for that $30 so how many can I get?

thanks
ps no wolf or magtech please. they might be fine but win, cci or fed only for my loads.

Thanks for the responses. I sounds like I should be able to move them when this deal goes thru. I'll PM all who have expressed interest when I get them next week, then I'll put them up on the "for sale" section.

The deal is done and the primers are here. Mostly Winchester. (I mistakenly said most were CCI in some of the PM's I sent) If anyone still wants some, I'm thinking $30/1000. I'll be at the IPSC match in Pueblo today (Sunday, Nov 8th) and will throw some in the truck.

Look for the guy in the goofy Corona cowboy hat...

I just got back home from the Pueblo match... Had I known that you had some Win primers I would have bought some from you.

At least my buddy (Randy) ended up with 5k primers. I tried to arm-wrestle him for the primers but he still won so he got to keep them! :)

Sorry I missed out, but I checked my stash and still have several thousand anyway. It'll take me years to use up what I have.
