Well, I've called CO home for the past 9 years. But moving away now to be closer to family. No kids. Just me and wife but we were the only ones here in CO. We are having a brand new 3300 Sq ft house built in VA for a considerable amount less than I sold our townhome for in CO.

It has been fun the few people I've bet. Love this forum, so still planning on being a lurker and chiming in here and there. Will be back to visit once we have moved though.

Have a safe, uneventful journey and enjoy the new place.

Take this as a suggestion, nay good advice. UNLESS it's something you absolutely positively cannot bear to part with. Sell or donate it.
After 2 trips between CO-AZ-CO-AZ hauling stuff that as we (are still unpacking) open realize there's no room for. OR asking ourselves Why did we bring this again? Buy it new or low mileage once you're in the new house.

Near Fredericksburg. About 20 min west.

OH yea. I agree with this and we did that when we sold our place back in May. We have everything in storage right now until the new place is finished being built.

We've been steadily downsizing. Usually the older you are, the more time you've had to accumulate stuff. If we haven't used it in a decade, goodbye. If I need another later, I'll buy it then. If it's heavy and I can replace it later, goodbye.

Always enjoyed walking the Chancellorsville and Widerness battlefields. Fredericksburg is sort of over developed by Mary Washington College but a nice town. Most of VA is still gun friendly but north of you is a swamp and it is spreading.

On such a long trip, i agree. I'm paying a storage facility to store junk from our last move.
