So the new Fallout is coming soon. What's your thoughts on it? Suppose to be multiplayer but no word on single player campaign. I like the fallout series, and it would be nice to have a multiplayer or co-op options bit just multiplayer kill's it for me.

I am of an age where Wasteland consumed as much of my 10th grade thoughts as sex, and Fallout 1 & 2 played a significant contribution to the destruction of my first marriage. Then Fallout 3 came out, and I completely walked away from the series forever. So my thoughts are that if Fallout 76 doesn't have SPECIAL and a turn-based combat system, my thoughts go towards "Meh, more recycled 90s nostalgia for millineals".

I would like to play it. I will probably buy it, install it, and then never actually have time to play.

I haven’t followed the latest news on it, but what I saw early on was intriguing.

I have it preordered. Will see how things play out. On the PvP thing, it sounds like there are basically two settings. Opt-in, where the enemy shoots you (for "tiny" damage), if you shoot them back then it's on. If you don't, and they still persist long enough to kill you, then they get a debuff and others will get a bonus for taking them out. Option two, disable pvp entirely. That's what I'll likely end up doing, but we'll see.

Hope the nuke launches are fun ^.^

My eyes are weird. Bethsda games makes my eyes hurt. I cannot play longer than 30min on those Fallouts. I still only played about 1 hour of Fallout4.
I could not even dare play Skyrim. :(

Maybe it's influenced by other causes? I'd try using a different monitor with a significantly higher refresh rate (or increase your existing), and try changing scaling settings if you can. (e.g. zoom out in essence). You could also see if there's a difference between playing 3rd person and 1st person.

My next one is to kinda make the contrast few notches darker than normal, and use different TV for higher refresh rate. I think those setting change will make it better in general.
Surprisingly Farcry5 was very gentle to my eyes, but Farcry4 wasn't as gentle.

I'm looking forward to it. I've been wanting an online co-op option on the Fallout games for a while. The lack of human NPCs does concern me though. Bethesda games do tend to have a great story, but I'm not sure how that's gonna go with the lack of NPCs and online stuff. We shall see I guess.

Intro video released. I have to say, the primary use of the in-game models rather than something more polished feels...off to me, like what you'd see with the Steam movie makers.

I still haven't even met the 1st minuteman.
LoL.

1st minuteman - you just need to hit the next town over from red rocket -

Not sure; I kind of like the build options in Fallout 4, not sure if greavers added to the mix will work for me. (Greavers - > just like to see the world burn)

I still haven't had time to finish fallout 4 either. At this point I think renting 76 for a night or two is all the time I'll be able to devote.

According to videogame pages, COD4 and Fallout 76 needs PS+.
No single player option.
I do not have PS+ and I would have to pass. :(

Verified that on the fallout76 bethesda faq page.
My interest has officially been lost with that revelation.

So, today was the first day of the beta on PC. Well, most people appear to be stuck downloading or unlocking the game if you preloaded it. I preloaded, but it's still telling me it'll take 4 hours to unlock (so, basically more time than the beta's open today).

Honestly, with my connection speed, it'd probably be faster to just download it again, but I'd be worried that their bad launcher would probably screw that up too :/

I've been watching a lot of gameplays from various utubers during the beta and so far I'm liking it. If I want to play solo I can, or I can team up. Hopefully they'll open up a few more servers.

Online only, buggy as hell, multiplayer shot through with pay-to-win microtransactions?

Hard pass.

I would pay good money for a re-release of Fallout 1 & 2 adapted so to be played on a smart phone.
