Unless you hear different, it is a go.

No news is good news.

According to the website, only the rifle side match is canceled.

Because? Well...that answers nothing. Anyone else able to give a reasonable answer as to why the side match was cancelled?

Best laugh I have had in ages. Good call Sean.

In all seriousness (dont get used to it) the side match was most likely cancelled due to a lack of match staff or dedicated strong backs.

With the more than likely crappy weather up there in the winter, hanging around until late to run a side match can really take the fun out of putting a match on.

If you still need a 100% complete answer, go to www.fridpa.com and send the webmaster an email asking why. Your email will go directly to Mick, the President of FR IDPA.

The Rifle side matches run long, and are target heavy, the winter days are short, and I doubt the range will get direct sunlight until March.

Yeah, I am bummed too, but I understand it. I've set up & run the last rifle, and BUG match. I think the rifle match had 40 odd shooters. That is a lot of standing around and waiting in 30* - 40* temps.

As it is the weather is looking dicey for Saturday for the regular match.

They usually end around 2-3:00. Depends on how many people show up.

If I'm reading the web site right, it looks like tomorrow's match is canx. Not suprising if so, the weather is going to be sketchy for a trip into the mountains.

Dude, there's at least one USPSA and/or IDPA match every weekend. There are two USPSA matches on the front range scheduled before the Clear Creek USPSA match.
