I didn't see any chatter about this, but good old Poca is back at it. She is introducing a bill that would require US businesses over $1B to get a charter from the .gov, along with employee election of board members (instead of the owners - yikes!) with an effort to make sure these jewels of free markets "create a public benefit" as the Dems see fit.

I'm ashamed that my generation thinks this sort of thing is a good idea. Thoughts?
As much as I hate to link to her site, here's the original bill:

For those bent on socialism they will love this. For those not so inclined, it is just another feather in Fauxcahontas’ high cheekbones, crazy spirit journey.
I predict this legislation has zero possibility of passing either the House or Senate given the current make up. The future may or may not be as kind to the loony Senator from Massachusetts.

Private property is of no import to the left...unless we're talking about their private property.
I can think of a few "public benefits" for the people that favor this kind of legislation but decorum prevents me from listing them here.

Whats the f'n point in proposing anything if it has a flubber's chance at a prince's hand in marriage?
Because it makes the rich leftists that donate money to Democrat politicians get all moist and they give more.
Equality is a good thing, right?

Eh, it's kind of like shit Ron Paul would put out from time to time. Whats the f'n point in proposing anything if it has a flubber's chance at a prince's hand in marriage?
It's not much different than a "look at me" social media post you see of a valley girl to make her zombie friends fawn over her, but at the end of the day, nothing's changed, she's still a bitch.
It's a way to test the waters and possibly inch the Overton Window open a bit more in the direction you want.
I like that political cartoon.

They do NOT want me to put forth my "Accountable Liberalism Act", and you can take that to the bank. Maybe Faux can get a national bullet train pushed through. God knows, it is working GREAT for Kalifornia!!!
Can you imagine? Accountability for all the abject failures of liberal/"progressive"/Marxist/socialist/whatever policies? Katy bar the door.
Airplanes are more efficient and cost effective than trains. Small infrastructure footprint and infinite routes. Busses or shuttles from rural or "underserved" to metros make so much more sense than unused train routes/stations.
