I'd say number 1 for so it looks good when don't have the can on. And for when you SBR it and add a grip.

im thinking of using it for home defense - i can actually hit what im aiming at, dont need to deafen myself and should be easy to attach a light - only question is how to store it so its easily accessible but the kids cant get to it.....

Just place it on a single ceiling fan blade in the family room, but an equal weight on the opposing fan blade, then disconnect the switch.
