How can I get from denver to cripple creek without using I 25? I don't trust google maps. I HATE driving my girl on I 25 superspeedway. She's a 67 camaro with nearly stock brakes.
I had a route for you till you mentioned Camaro. US 85 to 105 to Palmer Lake then to Rampart Range Road to Woodland Park. I just drove that today. Unless you have a bigger lift than I’ve ever seen on a Camaro I am going to say no go.
You could take 85 to 67 through Deckers then to Woodland Park.
If your location tag is correct, just take 83 to ColoSpgs, get thru town how you want, then take US24 west up Ute Pass thru Woodland Park to Divide, and take 67 to Cripple Creek.
There's about 10 different asphalt friendly ways to go from Denver metro to Cripple Creek, depending on the time you want to take.
What Crays said, I have a cabin up there and that is the route we take. You can take Garden of the Gods road and wind your way around to 24. Takes a while but the scenery is nice.
I usually take the Ramblin express. Let the bus driver deal with all the nincompoops!! [Coffee]
285 to Deckers
67 to Woodland Park
24/67 to Divide
67 to Cripple Creek
I take this rout to Denver from Divide whenever I have to visit the big city. Nice scenic road to Deckers.

285 doesn't go through Deckers.
I think you meant: 285 to Pine Junction, turn Left on County Road 126, 25 miles to Deckers. ;)
THEN 67 to Woodland Park and on to Cripple Creek.
Unlike the Sedalia to Highway 67 route, this one is paved all the way.
Morrison to Woodland Park via 285, CR 126 and SH 67 is right at 75 miles.
One of my favorite motorcycle roads!
