Latest of what it can do. The progress seems to be quickening. God, I hope they don't sell these to the government. But who else would buy them? I hope they wait a few years until they give them AI.

I feel like the government already has employees that can do that.

At least they managed to cut the power cords and have the power supply self contained.

The SpotMini robot is super creepy too.

What's the battery life on the Atlas robot I wonder?

Irving

I guess being able to open doors is very difficult for robots and when they built that one, it was a big breakthrough.

That episode of Black Mirror with that Boston Dynamics robot is the episode that scares my wife the most. She still brings it up all the time. I've even heard Joe Rogan bring up that episode multiple times.

More like it reads the warrant in full and on repeat, at 120 decibels during the entire time it is systematically dismantling your house.

I'm honestly more worried about the DNC's robots in black hoodies than these machines. Considering what the average battery life of a smart phone or Tesla is, these robots will only last 5-10 minutes of battle. But the combination of Starbucks Lattes and Adderall will keep an Antifa idiot charged for 10-12 hours.

Im grateful that I've lived to see what was once only make believe or at best, bad CGI become fact. It still doesnt seem real when I watch those heavy boosters land simultaneously & or to see these machines mimic biological movement. Just call me Seven of Nine because I see perfection. Economy of motion distilled, finite & sorted and its beautiful.

You're scared of it now, but month in, month out, the new tech released makes a tsunami of change feel like it's been around forever, and in 10-15 years, it'll feel totally normal to bring that crap into your home.

Yeah, but is alexa going to relentlessly chase me while bounding up stairs and doing backflips down stairs, with the help of it's robot dog, intent on killing me after it becomes aware and sick of me asking it what the weather is like outside?????

This is a really scary idea that I can see happening. Just when I can start getting ready to have my own personal robot slave, someone has to get all real about, and fuck it all up.

Dammit.

Too late, it's already happened.
Have you heard of Sophia?
Saudi Arabia has already given her citizenship, with more rights than women of that country.

As soon as Democrats figure out that robots can be programed to vote Democrat, Chuck Schumer will be out there on the capital steps tearfully demanding the basic rights be extended to our silicon brethren.

Wouldn't it be easier to use the robots to get rid of the bad people?

American Libs have been looking for trigger pullers for 60 years and keep coming up empty. This is a dream come true. If they can replace flyover country with robot laborers, then the cities can continue to be service centers without the political risk of losing elections.
