Mowed the lawn for the last time.

Dug out the snow thrower from under the summer time stuff that gets thrown on top of it.

Changed to oil in the snow thrower, new gas, and flushed the carburetor bowl, ran good and was able to shut off the choke in a couple minutes.

Put out the NO on 112 signs.

Locked the hubs on the Sidekick, threw the snow brush in it.

Put the mower up for the year.

Yes!!!

Blew out the sprinkler lines yesterday. Don't have the right compressor so it's not complete but should hold me until the lawn guy comes in a few weeks.

Shovel at the ready but I don't think it will stick in the metro, we'll see.

Lawnmower stays out until the leaves are down. Cause I'm lazy like that! Aeration in a few weeks too.

This year's lows have caught me a bit by surprise but I should have seen it coming with the mild summer we had.

Probably won't ride my motorcycle tomorrow. Maybe Monday. I'll mow when I get home. Hoses and swamp cooler take care of a couple of weeks ago. Halloween decorations up. I'm good.

Will mow for the last time after the Halloween decorations come down.

Then put up the mower, pull out the plow/4-wheeler/blower.

Then the Christmas decorations come out...

Came down from FtCo to Littleton about 5:00. No storm in sight. Some lanes had been sprayed already. Every CDOT sign said winter weather advisory.

This entire week the weather folks were saying it was going to drop below freezing every night. But it never did. Heck, Monday night they kept saying it was going to be 28'ish and it never got below 38. So I'm a little skeptical still that we're going to get any noticable snowfall at all tonight. I'll believe it when I see it.

Too bad, weather here has dropped to the mid 50's overnight. The rain that we usually see late july - 1st of sept. during monsoon season has reared it's ugly head again. Last week there was maybe 2 dry days.

We don't get a lot of snow or really cold days here, either. But the rain... It starts raining some time in Nov and won't really stop until the end of April. You don't see the sun here much in the winter. But, on the other hand...I don't have to shovel rain. And I don't have to chain up for it.

1. They’re easier to catch and overwhelm
2. They will lose body mass fast in a crisis, so eat them early, save the others for later
3. You can tell your other neighbors that it was just about them being annoying vegans, “nothing to see here”

Funny since I never dug the A/C out of the shed at all this year and I had some tomato seeds that never started until the end of the summer (imagine my surprise finding newish tomato plants with blooms in the planter at the end of Sept). Maybe if they didn't take their record temps from thermometers located in heat islands but then the Left has shown falsifying records is the least they will do in their ideological war on Common Sense and our mutual Heritage.

I am surprised this year over last. Last year on 1 sept the skies turned grey and the temp dropped. It is supposed to cool off later this week but we have had sun and 75 almost every day since the first of sept. 60% of the trees have turned and it has been a fantastic fall here. 5 PM and I am wearing my shorts and T shirt. That's a difficult feat when it comes to reciprocation.

Texas can keep the chiggers, fire ants, and roaches (aka waterbugs).

The Farmers Almanac has forecast a cold and wet winter. With my bad back, knees, and ankles and the wife slated for new knees soon, anyone got any recommendations for a snowblower that won't break the bank or fill up half the garage? My driveway is pretty small and I just need to do that and the sidewalks in front of the house.

If I become allergic to red meat, I'll bequeath the snowblower to someone that isn't.

It's the usual IF you get any tics, there may be a reaction. Like 110% of pharma advertisements on tv. May cause diarrhea, swelling of limbs, nose eyes, heart attack or prove fatal to user. Consult with your physician before using .

ChickNorris

I should probably clarify. There is some research data that suggests there is a possible risk of alpha gal reactions in folks who have no chance of tick exposure, though no specific examples of 'other' sources to the introduction of the carbohydrate have been offically determined.
