Not surprising, for a couple of reasons. He's voted against Trump on some pretty big issues, he's struggling as an incumbent, and he's a lukewarm conservative at best. Instead they're throwing money at an Hispanic woman in Florida running against Shalala.

When I lived in Bailey Coffman was my representative and he was very conservative. For some reason he's really moved away from that mindset. Don't get me wrong...he's still far, far better than anyone the democrats would run. It appears they're trying to spend money on a better bet since Coffman is approaching double-digits down in his race and Salazar is up a couple of points in her seat...once thought to be a democrat sure-thing in terms of flipping it.

Everyone I know has been spiking the polls. Saying they will vote against him, I got a phone poll yesterday and said the same. As well as saying I was voting yes on the tax increases.

What's the point of lying about that, exactly?

Agree completely. He's Colorado's John McCain without the terrorist ties.

The funny thing is how greatly he and his staff have miscalculated. They've shifted left (probably responding to Arapahoe county), abandoning the Conservatives that live in his district, while unable to out-Lib Crow.

I've already told his office he has my vote only because I'm not voting D. He could be primaried very easily and ran unopposed in the primary this year.

His district (which includes me) was re-drawn to include a chunk of Aurora.

....and he's been running to the left ever since. He wants to stay in office, whatever it takes. I don't care for him, but there has been no better alternative put forward.

I suppose in theory, if you lied about your position, and enough others did, then people might say "Oh, there's 55% approval for this, it's safe, we can spend money elsewhere!" Then, after they've done that, you ACTUALLY vote the other way, flipping what was "safe" into a completely different result.

Making irrelevant a completely worthless profession.

I'm really tired of the door knockers stuffing candidate's propaganda cards inbetween the door and the jamb. I open the door and they fall on the front porch. If there's ever something difficult for a handicapped guy like me, it's trying to get pieces of paper off of a flat floor.
