Hey, all! I (and a bunch of my evil black rifles and their friends, both big and small) are in the process of relocating from the people?s republic of Maryland, should arrive in Denver in a few short weeks. I?ll be picking your brains about some good places to shoot and some of the quirks about CO gun laws, but wanted to sound off here first to say hi.

so... hi. :)

Welcome to our little site.
As far as gun laws, dont live in Boulder and don’t live in Denver. And deont reside in their namesake counties if you want to get a CC permit without any hassles.

Funny you should say that. My wife currently lives in downtown (long story) and on a recent visit, I got my CO DL and CC permit without any problems. That said, y’all got some weird-ass CC laws. Can you really (and legally) walk past one of those “no guns allowed” stickers while carrying concealed?!?

Yep, those signs hold no legal weight.

That's going to take some getting used to (at least making sure nobody catches me giggling gleefully while disobeying the sign). My first CCW was in NC which had a list of 5 types of places you couldn't carry, including "anywhere posted or requested by the owner" making those signs very enforceable. Thanks for clearing this up. :)

You can go down the rabbit hole of if are made you would automatically be charged with trespassing of the sign was clearly visible blah blah blah. That's mostly internet discussion fodder than real world examples though.

Just remember, Concealed means Consealed. Don?t be constantly fondling it or playing with it through your pants........

So that some libitard doesn’t notice you have a firearm and calls the police and “SWATs” you.

My first CCW was in NC which included a law "armed to the terror of the people" which was basically that; if it's concealed, keep it concealed. If it comes unconcealed and someone freaks out, you're in the wrong and can face criminal penalties.

I meant to put a smilie after my comment to let you know I was trying to be humorless, I have been mistaken for being confrontensional before.
I guess it is the tone of my speech and my accent.......[Tooth]

Howdy. Sorry you got here after the Denver/Boulder axis of evil transformed the state.

The mountains are still nice, though, and we brew some good beer here.
