The UK ought to legalise marijuana, then tax the weed to fund this. Queen Victoria used marijuana to ease her menstrual cramps. None of my posts are to be taken seriously. Unless of course, you are British. Colorado is already doing this...

Coming? No, no... minority report is already here.

No shit. Between cameras almost every corner in GB combined with their Interpol facial recognition, Good Night Mudder

Not that they don't have things like that in the US of A. CDOT cameras, business and city security cameras. Nosey snitches with cell phones, on n on.

They just need to find precogs.

Shouldn't be too hard. We already have pre-triggered .

Bet you didn't know the original story to minority report was a sequel to total recall.

Hypothetically if this goes effect, they will have disclaimer saying
"Government officials are immuned."

...They can start by arresting the Rolling Stones for theft. Just got an “offer” from the Broncos website to purchase tix for $500 each in seats 100 yds from the stage and $1500 for field seats. Such a bargain. Nothing like seeing old fossils dance on stage. Can’t even think of a hit they have had in past 30 yrs. Very sad. My front row seat at Folsom back in 1981 was $17. I bet Mick and Keith will need O2 tanks playing at a mile high...

But Folsom Field is just such a small venue.
Gotta pay the players!

Ummmm ... where did you get that? The original short stories were both set in dystopian futures but had pretty much nothing to do with each other. There are no common characters or settings (and in fact, the original short story for "Total Recall" was titled "We Can Remember It For You Wholesale").

Now, if you're talking about the movies, then yes, I'd heard the "Minority Report" movie almost became a "Total Recall" sequel but that's Hollywood, where movies don't really have to have anything to do with the material optioned. Look at the mess Verhoeven made of "Starship Troopers".
