Didn’t he start some sort of WWII museum there?
Yes, but I thought it might have been Kansas. Don't know for sure.

He bought my K98k Mauser, bought some land with a fixer upper and moved to NE and was opening a WWII museum. That is the last I knew and that was several years ago.
Was wondering what happened to him just the other day.

No, his name is Alex and he's early 40's at most, but I think younger.

As others have indicated, not the same guy however the article was quite interesting. Thanks. [blaster]
I dug out a business card of his a couple years ago and gave the number a call, but nobody picked up and there was no answering machine.
He popped into a Tanner show years ago after he moved and opened his museum/store.
Didn't do well, not sure he covered his costs, and never saw him again.
Has a FB page, hasn't been a post since Apr 2017.

Was thinking about him while at the Tanner gun show this weekend. Great guy.
Before the 2003 flood, I picked up shotgun shells with him and his GF/wife. Good guy. I hope he has all prosperity.

Ask him to check in here. It would be great to hear how he has been doing.

Just before he completely disappeared from the site Alex was getting kind of nasty and grumpy - particularly with the staff. He wanted us to give him his own separate forum section on the site dedicated to his history threads and it didn't set well with him when we told him we decided against it.
I always liked Alex and especially appreciated all of the hard work he put into cleaning up the shooting sites around the Front Range - particularly the "South Site".
We've lost a lot of really good members through the years and Alex was certainly one of them. He's missed.
I spent a day picking shot shells, with him and his GF, at Lefthand Canyon. Great company on both ends.
Peeps can go through rough times and want more than they need/want.
Don't know the background but he was always in point with history.
