View Full Version : Is QAnon the new pizza gate?

If you've never heard about QAnon neither have I until I came across this article. This is the only source I've seen so I can't get a good read on how much interpretation or exaggeration there is going on here. I'm kind of wary of this particular publication though. The article talks about QAnon, but it is really a piece about how buying into the conspiracy is affecting people's personal and social lives, so the tone is a bit strange. Anyway, peppered through out this long article is enough auxillary info to put together a picture of what is going on, I think.

From the article.

The QAnon theory falsely claims that President Donald Trump?s prominent opponents are part of an international criminal ring involved in the trafficking, abuse, and sometimes eating, of children. Believers think this because ?Q,? an anonymous message board user who claims to be a high-level military insider, has been telling them so since October 2017. Over its year-plus lifespan, the theory has attracted untold legions of fans. It has also attracted comparisons to cults for behavior by adherents, some of whom claim to have become estranged from families and friends over their Q belief.

Anyone else heard of this?

Last April they said the Vatican would be having a bad month. May rolls around big article about the Vatican covering for all the pedo priests. About the only thing that they fore told.

I've been more recently interested in the concept (that I made up) that trolling and other social manipulation is just a social Rube Goldberg machine where everyone is surprised at where it ends up.

It's really amazing that people believe this nonsense in Qanon, I have a friend who believes 100% that anything in there is true. He says Q doesn't say anything, Q gives you an idea to research and find out the truth for yourself. They think some pretty rediculous stuff is true, mainly that some of the government is involved in human trafficking and satanic rituals that involve eating remains of sacrificed babies. It rediculous, they think Trump has a secret code telling everybody the "Truth". It's an online cult in my opinion, they are preparing for a new American Revolution. I don't talk to my friend much anymore because it's all he wants to talk about, and I want no part of it. I've told him it's probably some hacker kid living in his mom's basement, stoned and bored, lol.

I think the appeal of Q is that its wishful thinking ... people want to believe that Trump is secretly running this hidden cabal to take down the corruption in DC from the inside and there's this cool insider leaking stories about it. I can understand why people want to believe such a thing (hell, I want to believe too ... I just don't).

That said, someday I think we'll look back on Pizza-gate and discover that it was ~90% correct ... I guarantee you wherever you have collections of wealthy powerful men you will find networks of people providing them with child sex slaves and other things to feed their "particular tastes" for the right price. We know that Jeffrey Epstine has an island where rich and powerful men go to have legally and morally questionable "private entertainment", so I have no doubt that there are networks of child sex traffickers providing sex slaves for prominent, wealthy politicians on US soil (and in DC in particular) as well. It may just be that the particular pizza place (and maybe even the pizza related code) is the only part of the story that's incorrect.

I debated even clicking on that link because I don't need to waste time on something so dumb. I did click the link, went to the very first drop, and it was wrong. That this even got off the ground should be surprising, but sadly it isn't.

Out of curiosity I went to the site to see what you were talking about. Are you referring to the top post with the youtube link to this video about politicians flip flopping on their immigration stances over time? If so, how is the video wrong?

No, I'm referring to the first ever drop, chronologically, that said Hillary is going to be arrested. Then she wasn't. As for politicians flip flopping, if someone tried to convince me they had inside info and then showed me a video like that, I'd laugh in their face.

I don't know who's behind that shit show, but if any group is on a trajectory to collide with Antifa, it's probably that one.

I pay attention to it, and you can be aware of it and not drink the koolaid.

From what I can tell the movement is about peaceful research of public info that no one pays attention too, but should. Citizen journalists is more like it, definitely not even close to antifa from what I?ve seen so far.

The big question is how many annual sealed indictments are normal and are there really 68k in the cue right now. Maybe one of the attorney members here can shed light on it. I have now idea.

Or how many resignations occur on an annual event? Is what happened over the last year normal?

Did the National Guard really ramp up at gitmo and other places over the last year?

I think everyone who googles ?Podesta art collection? will have a ?WTF? look on their face when they see it. If they don?t I don?t want them around me.

The good thing about this conspiracy theory is it has a short shelf life. Another 6-12 months tops without any public action and it dies.

If your in business, it?s always good to pay attention to all the areas of info to see if there are any nuggets of truth that will effect the countries economy.

Are there even people who believe this Qanon nonsense or is it another farce created by the Left to make the Right or Trump supporters look stupid by putting words or false beliefs in their mouths? I can't say as I ever ran into anyone who believed the Pizzagate crap either ... except for Left-wingers believing what MSM told them about Right-wingers.

Irving

I'm not making any comment about being aware; heck I started the thread.

As for a comparison to Antifa, I may have to acknowledge that because everything I know about this is from the article that I posted while saying I don't know anything about the publication. The article talks about internet posts calling for action, but I don't know the truth of that at all. You can find outlier "call to action" posts on any website, about anything, in some context or another. In fact, it did seem weird that it referenced posts about taking action, but all the people interviewed seemed older and even retired.

Was there a timeline associated with the predicted arrest? I haven?t bought into the Q thing, but it is interesting that it is predicated on future events, some of which will either have to occur within the next 18 months or the whole thing is bunk.

Irving, here is an intro I found that explains it in further detail.

I can post other links if anyone is interested, but I?m not going to unless others actually want to see them since they are from 8chan.

You're lucky. I've met a few in the local shooting community, and boards like arfcoms GD are full of believers of some or all of it.

I can get the idea of being more comfortable with calling these things false flags but a good amount of the right in general and a decent (or at least vocal/visible) subset of the shooting community is doing a fine job of looking nuts without anybody's help.

Qanon is a LARP. If the autistics at the chans are kittens, Qanon is a ball of yarn that distracts them from doing anything impactful.

Very plausible and I?ve had the same thought of it being a LARP/ Psyop.

On the other side, I?ve never seen a LARP receive so much MSM attention.

This whole thing is pretty funny, but listen how he refers to Trump starting at 1:29

I suspect something like that but I can't figure out if he's a leftist plant to make the right look dumb (which I lean away from because we're talking about the same left that fell for free-bleeding, the OK symbol and Milk so they're not that bright) OR Q is someone on "our side" engaging in some sort of optimistic pro-Trump fan-fiction kinda stuff. I actually think its more likely the latter.
