View Full Version : I played video games on New Years
Alcohol was involved so that likely had something to do with it.
One of my nephews brought his game stuff to our New Years party. He has some sort of VR thing for it. Not sure what all I played. There was some light saber game that was similar to guitar hero that was fun. Also some sort of fun house, roller coaster type game where you shot evil clowns. The one I found most amusing was some game where you basically just did a job. You could work as a cook, or in an office, or as a mechanic or whatever. I didn?t play it but found it funny that kids in their twenties enjoyed playing a game where you basically work a normal job.
Sounds like PSVR with Until Dawn: Rush of Blood and Job Simulator. Not sure what the light saber one is.
Really?

I was tempted to try the office job since I have no idea what people really do in an office environment.
I?d probably just throw staplers at my coworkers.
Job Simulator is great fun

You?re kind of sadistic, aren?t you?
It's a great intro to VR and you can do fun things like play flappy bird on your computer and make yourself vomit by eating rotten food.

The lightsaber one is Beat Saber. I think I own it, but my VR needs a new station, so I haven't played it myself yet.

I like games where you have to follow a beat. I'm going to look into downloading that. My kids will love it. Right now they've been playing a lot of Tetris, which makes me very happy.
That?s the one. I only played it on easy level but it was fun. You kind of get into a rhythm with the music. Dual wielding light sabers is awesome.

That looks awesome, but I think it's way beyond my reflexes and brain processing speed.
Anyone play Bit Trip Beat on the Wii? I really liked that game.

I?m 48 years old and didn?t find it terribly difficult on easy level.

I?m 48 years old and didn?t find it terribly difficult on easy level. I guess on easy level I'd be okay, but watching that video of expert level....No way.
Yeah. I watched a couple of my nephews play it on expert and no way could I think or move that quickly.
I downloaded that game tonight. It's a pretty big hit with the family already. Thanks for the intel. Super fun. Add some arm weights and get ripped!
Second day. Neighbors that don't play video games are on board with Beat Saber. That game is a whole lot of fun, especially as things get more difficult.
I also downloaded SuperHot last night. Any time I've ever did a web search for current VR games, or best VR games, this game is always on the list. The video just can't do this game justice for how much fun it is. I thought this review was very spot on.
