About to pick up a RRS TA-3 tripod head, and I'm wondering how I'll attach my Bell and Carlson stock to it. I'd like this to work on all my rifles, but I can't find a mount for this particular stock. Its just a typical stock without any rails or keymod or anything, so I'll have to drill into it. This is the stock: http://www.bellandcarlson.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_ID=1120
Anyone know of anything that might work?

Check out the Area 419 "Universal" Arca rail. You will drill your stock for t-nuts with a forstner bit, epoxy them in and attach. There are quite a few of similar products out there to do the same. 419 stuff is nice. HRD gear is local to Colorado and the owner is good people. They sell those at Mile High. They are some less expensive one too. I would skimp too much, you did just drop big cash on a RRS tripod, wouldn't want the rail to be the weak link. :)
If you need some other options PM me and I will look through my saved links and send them to you. If you only need a short piece of rail (4") and can wait a little, I have a buddy in Steamboat making some for a great price.

Thank you. I reached out to HRD to see if they had any ideas for my stock. If you do get curious and peek into your bookmarks, feel free to shoot some more ideas my way. I'm not in any hurry....I have a crappy tripod I can use with this rifle, and I'd like to do this right the first time around.
