Down in the Fun Room cleaning a 10/22 and a Marlin 39A tonight and I saw this in my reloading bin. What the... heck??
It appears to have a screw head that one half is broken off, and just a smooth pin/shaft opposite the head. There's also a nub or a keeper on the side of the screw head.
I'm racking my brain thing it probably compressed a spring but I can't place it.
This is going to bug the crap out of me until I figure out where this came from.

Anyone have any ideas?

Check your reloading press setup, it could possibly be part of your primer seating function off of your press.
