I've largely been a Glock guy so I have the MGW sight pusher for Glock rear sights...but I've recently fallen in love with the M&P 2.0 line and I'd like to add something to stable for changing dovetailed front sights.

I know a lot of dudes just use a hammer and punch...but I'd rather go the route of a more precise tool. I've done a little searching and it seems like the super budget sight tools risk breaking off the front sights.

I know the MGW sight pro will do the job...but that is a pretty steep investment. The Wheeler sight pusher seems like it has a similar form factor at about half the price. What would y'all recommend?

It's all in how the tool pushes on the sight, if it pushes on the blade that's bad ju-ju. M&P's are similar to an XD, they are installed hydraulically.
I found that frequently I needed the "shock value" that a hammer/punch provides to break it loose. I have even had some I had to mill out, they were not budging.
FWIW S&W recommends driving them with a punch and hammer. Remove from left to right (looking from the rear of the slide).
I destroyed 2 of the lower end tools before I made my own tool out of 1/2" plate, it weighs about 9 pounds.
Bottom line is it is going to take a quality and substantial tool/press to do sights on anything but a Glock.

I have no experience with the MGW, I recall when they came out I considered one but then I would have to drop another $200+ on platform specific inserts.
Between my homemade beast and my Meprolight sight tool I couldn't justify it.

Your best bet would be to find the MGW M&P specific tool that has now been discontinued. Somebody has one laying around although it may only work for the rear.
