I'd like to know who on this site is a certified RSO. Even if you aren't NRA certified but serve(d) as a military RSO I'd be interested in hearing from you. I know one person in particular who helped me out a few years ago who is already on my list.
If this applies to you but you'd rather not say anything publiclly, please send me a PM.
Thanks in advance
Just renewed my NRA cert.

I did RSO duties in the Army, but that was in the '99 to '01 timeframe. I have much experience with RSO for explosive operations more recent times.

I was RSO in the Army for small arms and demolitions, but that was decades ago. I was the Battalion Training Officer for a while, too.

The NRA Range Safety Officer program was developed in response to the demand for a nationally recognized range safety officer certification. NRA Range Safety Officers are people who possess the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations.
You must be a currently certified NRA instructor in a firearms discipline to participate in this online course.

As a senior NCO I was frequently an RSO on small arms ranges but I don't have any "certifications."

Was appointed RSO at a couple of machine gun shoots by the organizer, but did not have certification from the NRA.
The counties involved were satisfied.

Former NRA LE Instructor in Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun and Sub-gun (can't remember what that was actually called back then). Former civilian NRA Pistol Instructor. Former Air Force Combat Arms Instructor. Former Utah BCI Instructor.
Pretty much just a "has been".

I said "one person", but actually there were 4 gentlemen I specifically remember doing an amazing job- at least 4 who I know are still active on the site. I'd like to task each of you again for another type of event. [Details announced later if things start to pan out.]

Boy, I wish.
We totally could too. If next year folks on here spent even half what they do on other range membership fees, ammo, guns, gear, and coffee, [Coffee], we could have an awesome range. Group buy on land? Suppressors? Chainsaws? No takers?

After the epic Range Safety briefing I watched you give a few years back (wishing I had recorded it), I think you've earned wearing just an RSO Vest.....but I refuse to picture it.

Did you happen to notice that nobody tried to contradict you?
EVERYONE who has replied with RSO/RSO-type of experience will work perfectly for what I have in mind. It's months off, and I've got lots of logistics to work through before I discuss any more, but even if you don't have a cert, if you have experience and can maintain focus on safety of others for a while, post here.

Oh...this is juicy.

Ditto, but I was just a buck Sergeant.
I do tend to take charge at the range when others seem to lack the desire, so I'm that guy too.

I will run the 2 ranges at Golden Gun Club quite often, other members can't seem to be bothered.
