Police were serving a warrant on a known gang member.

The fox news headline says: "Police find secret shooting range, weapons cache, thousands of rounds of ammo under California home"

Turns out they found a single AR-15, a couple thousand rounds of ammo, and a 100 round drum magazine for the AR.

But I wish the bad guys would post up a how-to on building their own underground range!

I'll bet that's not OSHA compliant for ventilation...[ROFL1]

Is there a market for manhole covers? Think one would make a decent gong?

EDIT: They are probably all low quality iron or cast iron or something.

People regularly steal them and try to sell them for recycling. I think all the recycling places report them to the police now.

I figured, since one of the links I came across was selling composite covers with "Absolutely no scrap value!"

Manhole covers are cast. And heavy.

No doubt the intended response to the story!

In Fontana? They don't say the gang affiliation but I would think it was a "biker" gang, or club as they like to say.

While I do not condone his actions, there is a part of me that respects his commitment to practice.

And tenacity to dig.

I may or may not have considered doing something similar under my house...[Peep]

I may or may not have considered doing something similar under my house in my basement...[Peep]

But my wife occasionally puts her foot down on some of my ideas. She's unreasonable that way.

Glad to see someone on the board actually found a way to get what they were looking for.
