Just posted up one of the few pictures of when I was in the service.....
And as far my handle, I’m just a closet comedian.

I was named by former member Marlin.

I think I was trying to suggest something about the duality of man...the Jungian thing.
As for my name, I've used this name for a long time ... I used to be a mechanic in a shop that specialized in European (particularly German) cars ... its a name I rarely find taken when signing up for new accounts.

I used to see a one legged bird around here. I felt sorry for him. I don't know how he lost his leg. My avatar is his footprint.
I make and drink a lot of beer. Diesel trucks pay for my habit
Remnants from the trunk monkey title I had when I first joined.
I dive Trimix.
Well, not anymore, I'm more of a Nitrox guy now.
Last Trimix dive was in Eagle's Nest (http://floridacaves.com/eagles.htm) in Florida, years ago. I'm into longer, shallower dives now.

My Cheetos character was more appropriate when my title was ?orange junk?.
Prior to that I had Ralphie from A Christmas Story with his Red Ryder BB gun. Then someone was kind enough to edit that for me and replace the BB gun with an AR.

That is an interesting question from a couple of aspects...and from one whom does not currently use one.
The avatar I'm using is from the movie "Vanishing Point".
I'm a driver, have a rebellious attitude, really want a '71 challenger, want a Hellcat too.....
When my truck is finished, I will use that as my avatar.
My avatar is of John Carter, Warlord of Mars. One of my favorite sci-fi series growing up which was something I had in common with my dad. My screen name is actually my last name, which lends itself to gun communities I guess.

I like dogs. I owned a gun store.
Used to be Molon Labe, I?m a history nerd/buff and one of my favorite historical fiction books and authors is Gates of Fire by Steven Pressfield about the battle of Thermopylae. Also when I moved to Colorado and found this forum in 2011-2013, the Left was actively working to take as many of our arms and ammunition from us as they could.
After joining some other forums that particular handle was unavailable and rather than be Molon Labe 32 or some such, or having 3-4 different usernames I chose my shortened first name and last name initial.
The picture is me shooting a registered M-16 lower in full auto in Texas.

My avatar was suggested after a post that t was taking shit for. The name is a nickname that people have called me for years.

Just a picture of my carry gun, I have changed them, depending.

I find them all interesting, just curious for the back story.
I don't have one, haven't given it much thought. I did enjoy Kowalski's (I think it was him) a ferret strumming a guitar....

Ancient Psychic Tandem War Elephant.
Seemed appropriate.
TFOGGER = Proprietor of TFOG Wheelsports. TFOG stands for Two Fat Old Guys, my original partner and myself. He's long gone, but the name stuck.
My avatar: Howard Beale from Network "I'M MAD AS HELL, AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE". Any physical similarity is purely coincidental.

Little Dutch
02-19-2019, 10:58
The Avatar is a reminder that you should always be wearing your brown pants.
I go by Dutch on several other forums. If that's taken, I typically either use Old Dutch, Young Dutch, or in this case, Little Dutch. My paternal lineage has a lot of Germanic Dutch in it (along with Swiss, Irish, and English), and my last name starts with Van. In other words, Dutch.
Cap America was simply a childhood hero from my comic book days and one of the easier avatars to load up, i'm not good on computers.

One of my favorite pictures of my pickup, the first vehicle I ever bought brand new.
My avatar shows the beginnings of two AR lowers I built. I wanted to make an AR style lower from a block and also wanted a 45ACP AR that uses off-the-shelf magazines. The left rear block takes Grease Gun mags for a RMW upper. The forging was because I wanted a National Firearms Act registered gun that had only my name on it. It is now a Short Barreled Rifle lower. It uses Uzi/Colt style mags because the Uzi mag well is a lot less work that a M16 STANAG 4179 mag well.
I guess I added it as my avatar just brag a bit. I don't routinely post pictures of my guns.

Mine is the front of one of my favorite T-shirts from Ranger Up, sadly now discontinued. I picked it because it shows both my love of guns, and my love of things nerdy. If you have difficulty reading it, it says "Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a GOOD BLASTER at your side, kid."

The Ordnance Corp is what I was in while in the U.S. Army. My avatar is a picture of the large metal insignia that I have hanging in my shop.
Note I said Ordnance NOT Ordinance. [blaster]
I'm a big fan of Ayn Rand, and Shakespeare.
"I, ego," is the end of her novella, Anthem, and Iago, is the villain in Othello.

I saw Avatar in 3D, in the theaters. I was so furious at how shitty that movie was, especially for how much I paid to watch it, that it was like sitting through two hours of watching my little sister get punched on the big screen.

This being one of the derailed threads lately,.... avatar looked so stupid to me that I never bothered to watch it in the first place, probably never will either.
On topic, I used to think an avatar for posting on forums was a really clever, funny, meaningful blah blah.... yeah it still can. Nowadays I realize it's more for me than anyone else, if anything at all.

Dancing with Wolves...on another planet. Not only was it not a good movie...but the 3D left me with a bad headache for the rest of the day. Haven't seen another 3D movie since. When they can get 3D passively, then maybe I'll chance it again.

Oh.... I thought it was familiar.....I'll have to google what she did to earn the mugshot.
Always wanted to be a pilot.... but I never became one.
my nickname..... I'm blaming the Forums for that. I have a lot better nicknames.
I wanted something short. J is at least one of my initials.
Also makes me unique.

Gamer tag that I use. Makes it less exciting when you kill me in game (i.e. You killed thatoneguy). Sounds like you killed some random guy, and more exciting for me when I get a kill (i.e. thatoneguy killed you) that you were got by some random guy.
I just thought it looked cool. [Dunno]

I played with a gamer years ago who tag was "LowerBackFat" for that very same reason. I used to laugh my ass off when I'd see the kill feed. - You were killed by LowerBackFat. [LOL]
