Add this one to the category of celebs I thought were already dead. He had been having health issues for a really long time.

Did they make a video game out of that TV show?

Interesting side note:

The helicopter was eventually sold after the show ended and became an ambulance helicopter in Germany, where it crashed in a thunderstorm and was destroyed on June 6, 1992, killing all three crew members

I liked him in "The Mechanic" with Charles Bronson.

Vigilante Force with Kris Kristofferson was interesting, too.

JMV was old school cool. ..old enough. I remember getting into arguements over Airwolfe vs Blue Thunder and which was more believable.

Making a real functional 1.5 machmeter plus carrying armor + missiles would be as difficult as people living in mars.

I still like it.
I still WANT TO BELIEVE airwolf can take out 3 F35+b1b+entire aircraft carrier bypassing antiaircraft weapons.

Oh yeah. Airwolf even went to the space in 1 episode.

[not-worthy]

I did some security work at Aerospatiale Helicopter Corp. in Grand Prairie, TX back in the '80s. Talked to some folks that were familiar with Blue Thunder. The helicopters for the movie were built on the Aerospatiale Gazelle platform, were nose-heavy as hell, and difficult to fly. The rest was movie magic.

Heard some interesting stories working at that facility.

Another one of those guys that when you hear about his passing you think "I thought he died years ago".

Damnation Alley.

First thing I thought of . . . followed by Hooper.

Damn, I'm old.

He was an alcoholic, I'm sure that didn't help.
