Here's' mine. Ruger 10/22 and a Remington R-15. I'd love to custom build a precision AR, but that whole money thing......

I built one recently- Stag lower,Magpul PRS stock, Stag Varmint 6HL upper-flat top, heavy SS barrel, Caldwell bi-pod, Vtac wide sling, Pmag 20 rounders, Hogue grip, and Millet 6-25x56 scope. Ran about $1500 altogether but it took about a year getting everything together.

bm varminter upper, I built the lower with a dpms parts kit and a timney 3# trigger, bipod, and topped it off with a burris xtr scope. I built it with a standard trigger at first, but after installing the timney it made it a whole new weapon, I also switched out the gas block, no reason I just thought it looked better.

DPMS Match upper with a 34" bull SS barrel 1/8
RRA lower with RRA match 2 stage trigger
Magpul PRS stock
Sightron SIII mil-dot scope

Some day I'll work on getting the scope lower, but for now it works just fine.

Yeah I'm thinking a trigger upgrade is next.

There are a lot of good trigger's for AR's out there. I have a JP one stage with speed hammer in another of my guns and it's by far the best trigger I've ever felt in a rifle.

how are the RRA national match triggers?

SA Friday

They're not bad, but they are two stage. There's pre-travel that has to be taken up before you hit the wall. Compared to a std trigger, it's wonderful. Compared to a JP single stage with a speed hammer, it's barely acceptable.

is it worth all the extra money? I dont have any trigger time with any of the high end triggers.

Depends on what you are going to use it for. If you are going to try to push a bullet past a 1/4 mile, you don't want to skimp on the trigger. You can do it with a RRA two stage, but it's easier with a better trigger.

If your barrel, trigger, and sights are iffy, you are going to struggle getting accurate shots at long distance.

Rock River is good, Timney is better IMHO, also like the JP trigger a lot.

SA Friday-what's the price range on the triggers you speak of ?

SA Friday

Range is $150 to $300 depending on the trigger. My JP ran about $250 since I paid a gunsmith to install it instead of doing it myself. It was about $200ish for all the parts. RRA is cheaper, but not much.

Fully agree. NM triggers are good for what they are designed for, but if you want a good trigger you need something else ;)

JP complete kit with speed hammer or Jard adjustable + anti-rotate pins and you will have a good trigger for a long time. Jard needs more work to set up correctly, but delivers little lighter pull than JP.

If you like 2-stage trigger, get Jewell or Geissele. Jard 2-stage may be a good one also, but I have only limited experience with it (=installed ~10 pcs).

RRA Predator Pursuit with bead blasted barrel, Badger Tactical latch, Hogue free float tube, Magpul PRS stock, Versa-pod bipod.

Nikon Coyote Special 4.5-16x40 scope is on the way. Probably going to use a Larue mount.

Got the scope mounted today. Not sure if I like the positioning, I will have to shoot it and see if I want to try a cantilever mount.

definitely go with the larue if you get one. they are absolutely bad ass! I am waiting on my Millet 4-16 TRS and then my newest varmint rig will be done. 16" midlength system with laRue 13.2 rail, larue bi-pod QD adapter, PRS, punisher lower, RRA 2 stage trigger, hogue grip, harris bi-pod (fixed but I need to get a swivel), LaRue LT-104 mount 30mm, and a YHM flash hider/can adapter so the prairie dogs die silently[Beer]

Color matches up much better in natural light, not under flash. Cerakote dk tan, RRA upper and lower with NM two stage, WOA 18" 1/7, Youngs NM BCG, Leupold MK IV 4.5-14 50mm mildot reticle, and yes there is some ARMS mount stuff on there too. Now to get it out!

Very Cool....Is that a YHM 5005 handguard or a PRI Gen 3?

Here's what I'm using right now. It's a RRA midlength with a Leupold Mark AR 3-9 mounted in an ADM Recon. It worked well for this girl about a month ago:

How'd you lay your gun on that coyote without waking it up?
