Put on a new old stock sling and I don't really know but think I have it oriented correctly. I have had this old girl for about 12 years. Picked her up from a TN friend that worked with me at Peterson AFB. I think I'll get with some contacts overseas and buy the gernade launcher, bipod and bayonet if I can find all true PB parts and I think I can. Its near mint condition and I know she could reach out to 600 yards with open sights with pretty good accuracy for such an old girl. I seen a video or two that shows this gun with a Winter Trigger that just folds down from right side of the existing trigger guard but mine does not have one. I'm no expert but I suppose they could have had different variations. Very solid and heavy weapon. I think she is just a beautiful work of art! https://www.dropbox.com/sh/xmywtfcuwrtig08/AAAutISXYeXZsS5MvZre5p3wa?dl=0 plus Range Time Review but not my review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lgO1gsMZf7k&feature=youtu.be

I used to shoot high power with a 7.62 Garand, which isn't too much different from a BM59. It did great at 600. Hell, I used that gun for a couple 900/1000 yard memorial matches out at CRC and it did it. Barely, but it did. I'd love to get a BM-59 but it isn't one of my gotta haves.

I think you have the butt end and muzzle end reversed.

You won?t be able to use the sling in the support arm bicep stabilization position like it is mounted.
