View Full Version : Brace for the Meltdown When Trump Gets Reelected - Rush Limbaugh

We need to start getting ready for what is going to happen when and if Trump is reelected. I don?t think we can even imagine the meltdown. And I?m not trying to jinx anything here. Don?t misunderstand me. I?m not counting my chickens before they?ve hatched or whatever that is. I?m just considering the possibility.

The sign that there will be trouble if Trump is reelected is that lots of leftists keep coming out of the woodwork with pieces talking about how when Trump loses there will be violence or he won't step down or whatnot.
The left only knows how to do two things; strawman and project.

Which is exactly what we heard from the right, even right here on this site, from people afraid that Obama wouldn't step down. Pretty sure most fringe opinions can be ignored.

It wasn't anything like a call to arms, just people bringing it up here and there. I hope it doesn't seem like I'm dodging a question or refusing to provide proof, but I seriously doubt I could find a specific post where someone had a concern about Obama having a third term. I remember reading that, but it would have been a comment inside a larger conversation. No one started a thread or anything.

I know that over at AKFiles there were guys that were convinced that Obama wasn’t going to step down if Trump won.

But there were lefties who were sure Shrub would declare himself El Presidente for Life.
Didn't see that when Clinton's terms were up.
Why?
Was it the dangling chad debate from the 2000 election?
Or was it Bush's strong-man presidency when Congress wouldn't do their job?
If Congress did their job (passing budgets and bringing bills to votes), presidents would exercise their executive power less.
Or is it the volume and stridency of the rhetoric?
Or is it the immediate dismissal of anything your opposition says?

And, in my opinion, hillary would probably be more likely than bho or Trump to make that move if she had the opportunity.

IIRC the question or mention within another thread was one of Could and would Obama run for a 3rd term if he was able to.
Not that it matters, IF Trump was to actually run unopposed and won. Those in the Resist movement would (IMO) burn this bitch down! Unable to accept he actually won. Hell they haven't accepted he won in 16.
Rush makes his money on turmoil.
Rush makes his money on turmoil.
You could say that about almost all media.
If it bleeds, it leads.
If it's a dick, it'll click.
If we don't piss it, we'll miss it.
But yeah, it's the media in general ever since the rise of the internet / click based revenue. No fix in sight.

Do any of you seriously think the lefties will just go home and cry if he's reelected? They had a mini meltdown when he was elected the first time with some relatively minor rioting. I have no doubt they will have a full meltdown with widespread rioting if he wins again. They will loose their shit. No doubt in my mind.

Yes. I think that most people have better stuff to do than riot in the streets.

Yes. I think that most people have better stuff to do than riot in the streets.Of course MOST do. But even if only a small percentage of extreme left decide to loose their shit...it would be a big deal and potentially widespread.
I'm thinking that it'd be similar to what's happening in colleges. We see people being shouted down, occasional violence, and lots of news stories that make it seem like colleges across the country and flying off the rails. In reality I hear that at most colleges, things feel pretty normal and it's just a few schools on the west coast and a few pockets on the East coast. It's easy to watch the news and think that attending college right now must be a nightmare.
So, wide spread as in more than one city maybe, but not like all over the country. A few big lib pockets here and there. Are you thinking bigger and longer than the Occupy movement?

It will grow steadily, whether Trump is re-elected or not.

They're still wailing over Hillary's loss. I think the national progressive temper tantrum will increase ten fold if/when Trump wins in 2020. The mental gymnastics will be most impressive. More so than the attempts to make the NZ shooting Trump's fault. Orange man BAD!

As long as people have their porn, Harleys, flat screens, and Starbucks, there will be no "meltdown." Consequently, that is why cops will continue to obey unjust commands to arrest for unjust laws. Funny how liberalism is political control, eh?
