Went to the one in 2015 that introduced the 2016 vehicles. Got free tickets from GMC and Chevrolet
I was amazed by the high prices.
Then, I bought a 2016 Yukon.
Gulp!
I avoid the show like the plague now

Heard they have old cars too but that's unconfirmed.

Manufacturers ask franchisee (dealership) to send employees, and they rotate around from various dealerships in CO.

Therefore most are new.

They use to pay $20-25/hr around 1997 back then.

I'm taking my boy again this year. It's pretty good for a quick walkthrough with him. Last year didn't have anything mind blowing that I could remember.

I?m still waiting for the concept vehicles from twenty years ago to start hitting the showrooms.

Some military vehicle club is going to a bunch of ww2 vehicles there. Some jeeps, a tank hauler, a weasel and a couple other vehicles. Should make a usually boring show a little more interesting.

Only concept car that I know went (transoform) and got into production was Audi Avus 1991 to Audi R8 ~06?

Still waiting for ford gt90. LOL.

My buddy and I have gone every year since the 90's and finally gave up a few years ago. Between the increasing ticket prices and the decreasing manufacturer turn-out/support we determined it just wasn't worth it anymore. Not sure this will be the year we go back either as my interest in performance numbers on new ICE cars has waned drastically. I see 0-60 times on GTRs and it doesn't even do anything for me anymore.

People actually pay to go?

From about 1989 to 2004 I always got free tickets. Probably could still get some freebies if I was so inclined to go.

How? Where?

I heard instead of old cars, they are going to have a food truck display.

How? Where?

All of the local car dealers get tons of free tickets and pass them out like candy. Hell, I bet even your favorite Tesla dealer has them laying around. If you?re in tight with anyone in sales, service, or parts and mentioned going they?ll probably offer you up some tickets.

Fully operational I would hope.

Fully operational I would hope.

Probably the ones that were ordered from the frauds and never delivered or couldn't pass the health inspection.

Apparently Mercedes and Porsche did not make a showing this year.

Denver was never really considered to be a key market for the auto show. Porsche wasn?t there for years.

Many manufacturers have chose to ditch the auto show circuit altogether. Really no reason when they can control messaging and release new products with tons of exposure via internet and social media platforms.

I personally hated working the auto show. It was ?voluntary? and you didn?t get paid.

Some guys I know used it for lead generation. Mostly it was keyboard warriors who wants to argue about a spec or model they ?saw on the internet?

It was alright. We went Friday and my 6yr old had a blast and loved the Jeep course. Overall I had fun looking at new cars and spending time with my son!

That was the only display I really enjoyed. Seeing the sticker prices of all the new vehicles confirmed my belief that I won't be buying anything new.
