I?m looking for a place to get some safety lenses and frames in my prescription without breaking my piggy bank open. I?ve seen a few websites where I can get what I want for about $400 and a few where I can get close for $60 but I question the quality and accuracy with the prescription. Any recommendations for under $200?
I just wear my typical glasses. They do make safety glasses that'll fit over your glasses too.

I have both of these and really like them. The first is better if you have large frames . . . but both work to fit over my prescritpion glasses.

Oakley or Wiley-X.
It is sad to see how many people don't wear any eye protection when shooting.

I have a pair of Wiley X SG-1, the frames flex too easially and throw my prescription out of whack, sometimes to where my front sight is fuzzy and I can’t read the markings on the side of a pistol until they get readjusted. The safety glasses that go over my normal glasses screw up eye relief for spotting scopes too much so I have to lift them up to get my eye close enough.
I drove by the Sports Optical place a few weeks ago, I’ll check them out.

These are my Wileys - the Valor - http://www.wileyx.com/Tactical/ProductDetail/chval01_valor-grey-lensmatte-black-frame No flex in the frames at all. Very clear and crisp lens. Via Family Vision Center in Arvada.
You could try an inexpensive pair of prescription teenage girl celebrity glasses. IDK what they are called, but you all know what I'm talking about, it's like if Aviators and a welding mask had a sunglasses child, they dropped it on it's head, and it came out heart shaped. Get em in poly and you'll protect about 85% of your entire face. Plus, it would double as teenager repellent, so you'll never be annoyed while you wear them.
ETA) I am not teasing you btw :) I just have no insight here, I just use my normal glasses, in POLY they have the same impact resistance of any shooting glasses. They just aren't as big and lack the side protection, but better than being naked.
Walmart has a large selection of safety glasses. Some with the screen side protectors from the 70's all the way to stylish (sorta) glasses.
I had to get a pair once years ago. Pretty sure they were around $250. Also fairly certain I got them through my normal optometrist. Since you?re looking for prescription glasses I assume you probably have an optometrist you normally go to. I?d check with them first.
The price of a set of specs is 10% or more of lasik

So if someone put off new glasses for ten years then they could get lasik?

This, except it?s more like $350 now, and that?s with Kaiser vision. ANSI rated with side shields that can be removed when not needed.

I priced a couple out just for the heck of it and totals were roughly $150-230 if you got the basic lens package (i.e., no anti-reflection coating).

The lowest I’ve found has been $131 with nothing fancy at all. It may be worth the extra $80 for some extra coatings.
Depending how much coverage you want/need, you could do something like these?

Add the upgraded impact resistant lenses and some coatings.

https://www.tacticalrx.com/ I plan on going by and see about some glasses. My prescription is kind of tuff so having professional made glasses work best for me. I am at the point of needing both reading and some mid length magnification progressive lenses.
