The Mexican Troops thought they were in Mexico but north of the Rio Grande????
Having un-invited foreign armed troops occupying land on US soil is NOT an invasion?

Where is the outrage? It's is time to step up Commander

Who in the hell gives up their weapon? Those guys should be court-martialed. How did they know they were in the employ of the cartels and weren't gonna execute them on the spot after disarming?

Freaking ridiculous.

Events like this make me wonder if the world isn't very different from how we have been led to believe it is.

I visited this area of Mexico a few months ago. I was guarded by Mexican Marines. I received medications the US military and VA refused me. My cluster headaches have gone for now. Flame on...

Someone or dept needs to upgrade their gps.

Maybe Mexico's Defense department should pay for the wall.

I bet they would offer to build it and pay for it. What do you think, placing the wall at the Mississippi River??

Who in the hell gives up their weapon?
Two guys with apparently only 1 handgun between them against 5-6 guys with Xiuhcoatls (cheap Mexican copies of the G36). There's a term for guys like them; Alive.

The ridiculous one (who if anyone should be court-martialed) is whatever idiot sent them there without a full loadout of rifles, pistols, body armor and helmets.

Mexican troops on American soil should be assumed to be cartel and shot on sight.

Did we even build the fence in the right place?

"Though they were south of the border fence, U.S. soldiers remained in U.S. territory, north of the actual border."

How can they be south of the fence and still in the U.S.?

Can?t build the fence in the river. The fence is on this side of the river. There?s some land between the river and the fence. In other words, you can cross the river and walk up to the fence. You?ve crossed into the US but you?re still south of the fence.

Can't build the fence on the property line unless both neighbors agree on it.

Mexico considers their territory to extend all the way up to the Canadian frontier.

Out by Clint, Fabens, Morning Glory the Rio ain't all that wide... but troops should know where they are at out there. When we were little we used to walk down to the border from my uncle's place by Fabens. Now it is a bit more built up border and patrolled... and the canal is no joke to cross

It just seems odd that the Mexicans could have enough room north of the river that belongs to the U.S. and they would believe they were still in Mexico. And enough room for the Americans to be south of the fence and not be in the river and still believe they were not in Mexico. With fences everything on the other side of the fence tends to become theirs and we tend to stop going over there. Just sounds like a lot of space, I guess we own the DMZ.

Its been a DMZ for quite a while where American land owners on the border are not even allowed on their own property!
