Does anyone know to tighten up a loose IWB holster ?
I cannot find a holster that is specifically made for a Star BM, but a 1911 Commander holster is very close, except it is a little loose.
And I have a few in the holster bin, I want to try to get one to shrink up a bit to have a better retention / grip on the Star BM.
Any ideas from someone With leather experience.

P.S. No Bert, not Krusty Krotch kind of leather experience..........

Give hbar a call. Good quality holster would be worth modding.

Wrap in Saran Wrap get holster moist not wet use a blunt rounded something wife’s crochet neeedles work really well and mold the leather into the curves of the gun. Let it dry with the gun inside and it will be nice and tight. I took a Xd holster to a 1911 holster with this technique

You can also drill a hole in it (either under or in front of the trigger guard) and install a Chicago Screw to tighten it down a bit.

If you're local to the Denver metro area, bring me the gun and I can make you a kydex holster that will fit perfectly. Unless you're stuck on using a leather holster.

I?m sure after a year he has either got it resolved or picked up a different holster.

One would hope.

Since you said it was a leather, I would use a heat gun (30 second at a time), and try to put a pistol in it. If it does not fit, I would do another 30 seconds, and try to get it fit. From my experience, it is about 15 minutes experience.
You can use heat gun on many holsters including Safariland 628x/636x holsters.

If the holster is loose, maybe you need a bigger gun.

Funny how LITTLE heat can make leather holster tighter, but shape change a kydex type holster.
This is how I made a Safariland 6360 Sig P229 Holster with light changed to Safariland 6304 to accomodate HK P30 with light + leg shroud. :D

Is a loose holster code for something else?

No, I haven’t done anything, I don’t carry it, I just throw it I a gun rug for trips to go out & shoot it.

I like the Chicago screw idea, and the wet down the holster, insert wrapped pistol and try reforming to fit tighter then blow dry in short sessions.
