Local in the Springs. Very clean weapon but I think that may be a bit high as I looked on Gun Broker.

Yep...that's a bit high. That's probably about an $800 gun on the higher end, IMO.
Is that some cold blue touch-up on the rear corner of the slide?
I have a 1981 vintage version of that exact gun. One of my favorites.

Thanks for the reply on this Bailey. I'm not sure on the Cold Blue but to me it just looked all original. I like the heck out of it but not unless I get a good deal. Maybe I'll offer an $800 and see if the owner of this consignment will work with me.

Show the ffl $750 ask him to call the owner since he has a cash buyer. Low balling him should bring the price up to the $800 mark. Or he'll accept it , possibly say no thanks, price is Firm.
Offering him $800, means he can counter @ $850.
Regarding cold bluing. Looks more like the light above the display case, as you can see it's reflection in the glass.
Also depends on how much the store charges - I’ve seen some take as much as 25%

$750 I'd definitely take it. That's a nice gun and you won't get hurt at that price. And you'll love it. Especially the hammer bite. Adds a nice touch of nostalgia! [Beer]

I've been sitting here watching back draft 2 and can't get this off my mind. Great idea Great-Kazoo. I just called and got their answering machine. I'm going to offer the $750 and will gladly do the $800. Lets see how this goes.

I can remember long ago having my father-in-law shoot my 1911 US Issue and it bit the crap out of him! I know better.
