President Trump will be in Colorado Springs Thursday. You might want to adjust your travel plans accordingly. I am sure I-25 will be a cluster...

Thanks for the heads up. Glad I don't have to go down there that day.

When Obama was here in town a number of years ago the entire North side from Garden of the Gods to Baptist, I25 to Union was absolute gridlock for a couple hours after graduation.

The effect was staggering.

This pisses me off a lot with the road closures. I remember when I25 was closed by DU and Mile High for the debates and DNC inauguration. Why? Because a black senator? These people are not all important gods. They are wholly replaceable and government was designed to work with a chain of command if the head is cut off.

Absolutely no US political office is so important that they must close down corridors and place a city in gridlock. If travel by road is so threatening, they should stay off and helicopter in, or attend via video conferencing from a secure location.

Agree so much that even movies about the President being in danger I'm like "Meh."

I was trying to taxi for take off when he was in the Springs. It was a total cluster. As it ALWAYS is when Air Force One is near you. The Thunderbird F-16 crashing didn't exactly help.

At least he wasn't getting a haircut on the tarmac.

Hmm. I don't yet hear the cries for more fire control.

If people were only ever shooting themselves with guns, you wouldn't hear as much yelling about them either.

Yeah, a can of gas and a book of matches has never been used in a mass killing.

Oh, wait, it has.

Maybe he had some condoms in his pocket as well.

If he even had ammo in his car near the White House, it would be bigger news.
