For $7 you can be safe.

Or use a charge only cable. I carry a bright orange one.

I tend to use my own power brick anyway to get a fast charge, but it's rare that I need one with my travel schedules and the S8 battery life based on my use patterns.

Plugging your device into any public port you take a risk. Use the regular outlets with a power adapter. Also a common thing when traveling: be careful when joining wifi networks as well....its a scary world out there.

I've pretty much become fully reliant on power blocks, with the exception of the nightly plug in at home, between 4 blocks I've got 23,000mah to work with.

You should use a VPN whenever traveling or connecting to unknown networks.

Ugh.

I use my MiFi or tethered mobile. Never sticking my junk into that cesspool that is public WiFi.
