Don't look for good news but we need to know where we are at in order to plan a move forward.

...with California by far the number one source of that in-migration (just over 98,000), followed by Illinois and New York. In fact, those three states together supplied over 38 percent of new Coloradans.
Explains a lot.

Move forward? We moved out of CO, that wasn't too bad. In reality one has to choose a place where the infestation of CA liberalism is the slowest.
Yet balance that with a place to either work from, or retire to. Plus raise kids, if any are in the family unit. Then there's the ability to access the same lifestyle you or your spouse is accustomed to. Some cannot live w/out 50+ restaurants to patronize, 1/2 doz shopping malls / outlet stores, or starbux.
For us, at our age bracket, it was having a hospital within a 30 min drive, along with moderate access to a grocery store. AND no neighbors living right next to you.

Also keep in mind that most of the Texans I've met that have moved here since Pot legalization are from Travis County. So they might as well be from California.

My nephew is moving out here this week from CA but he is a good one. Trump Voter, gun enthusiast, very conservative, non druggie or pot head. He couldn’t take CA any more.
