So, at what point does(should) a person come to the realization they have too many ARs?

I'm finishing up a few builds, and just sitting there last night wondering what I was thinking when I bought all this stuff...lol

Do you have to move them out of the way to get to the bathroom in your house? Is there such a thing as "too many"?

Treat them like everything else. If you haven't used it in a year, sell it.

I don't know. Ask me after the next one.

... too many ARs ...

That series of letters just makes no sense in any language ... what kind of gobbledygook are you posting here?

When the safe is full? When you dine exclusively on ramen? You sold your dog to complete a build?

This is my stance... I only have two arms... however, there are always different "builds" that I'm lusting after. So I don't think there is a "too many". But I do know how many are not practical for me. To each their own.

Firearms and tools are excluded from this ideology.

I agree with tools, to a point. And I agree with guns, to a point. I don't shoot everything every time/year, but if I had three of said item, I'd consider selling.

Depends on space as well. Do you have the room to safely secure 15 AR's? Great. If you don't, sell.

Since anything beyond dual wielding is complicated I'd say anything more than two is overkill.

[snip]

This isn't a thing.

I guess maybe when you forget where you put one and don't even notice? [Dunno]

But two years ago I did decide to diversify into milsurps. I have every member of the household covered with ARs (kids with gifted lowers we'll build later) and enough for guests.

The real question is ammo.

A rifle without ammo is a club. What's the minimum round count per rifle?

Well if the correct number of ARs is determined by the amount of ammo, I need more ARs. And I already have some a couple a few multiple numerous a lot of ARs.

If you think you have too many, then you probably do. As I figure that means they are hiding everywhere in the house as the safe has already been crammed full :)

(kids with gifted lowers we'll build later) .

Are these lowers that are exceptional at math or have perfect pitch?

:)

They are exceptional at being transferred without a BGC per HB13-1229.

Seems fair.

Adverse possession--it's the law.

I may stop when my kids, their spouses and all the grand kids have at least one. But then I will likely start on AR10's and repeat. Then maybe, different calibers, I don't see an end or too many. Did I mention I have 47 first cousins?

For me it's all about diversity. They're all unique and different and beautiful. I don't judge them because of their color, or because one's a little heavier than the other.

500 - 1K per firearm. with a minimum of 10 mags per also . I offed 20K of ammo before moving, easy.

Like when you have a note on your phone with the exact parts you need to buy for each of the lowers you have? The parts you have, the parts you need and the model you want to build?
Oh, you can never have to many....I just need more ammo.
