I had a great experience with the body shop at McDonald Automotive, it’s near S Broadway & South Park. It was an insurance claim, I got hit, phenomenal work and customer service. Lifetime warranty as well. This was on a 2003 Tahoe btw.

While it's too late for you for THIS instance, I invested in Hail Protectors for my '17 Civic & another for my '05 F250. Their most expensive one is now $289 (for the large SUV/Truck size). It's essentially an airbag that is supposed to protect against up to multiple simultaneous softball sized hail hits. The units come with 3 types of power options (plug in to outlet/extension cord, cigarette lighter plug and a battery pack which requires 8-AA batteries). For $19 more I could have opted for an adapter that negates using the included remote fob and lets you plug the unit into a wifi enabled outlet adapter so you can inflate using a phone app.
I figured, as long as I have time to get it on & inflated, it's a heck of a lot cheaper than the expense of hail repairs considering the time and effort as well as paying an insurance deductible. It takes me about 3-5 minutes to get it on and another 5 to fully inflate. They say that you'll have some hail protection as soon as 2 minutes into the inflation process.
Here's a pic I just took of my '17 Civic with the cover on/inflated:

You're going to find almost every shop is months out from doing any work. The bigger ones may be a week out from giving you an estimate.
Truth is I?m in no rush I?d rather wait tilll the end of this season anyway

My wife is an auto damage adjuster for one of the largest national insurance companies. She has written 1,000?s of hail claims amongst her normal claims. She recommends the Schomp auto collision center in Aurora. They have their own on staff PDR tech who does great work. She says that the shop would always write honest claims.
Has anyone tried to get a body shop to do anything that wasn't an insurance claim? Everyone I spoke to in the North Denver metro area were just too busy to take anything that wasn't being paid for by insurance.

Down here that would last maybe 2-3 days before it got blown away.

It has a draw string that pulls tight around all four tires and 2 straps that cinch tight across the bottom of the car. The car will likely go with the protector if it's that windy.
