View Full Version : Rant/Vent Sico
So I dipped my toes into the NFA can game last year just over a year ago now...... Ordered a sico omega 300 during bogo promotion (I think, isn't it sad it's been so long I forget). I am still awaiting my stamp back from the ATF. Like many others, SICO dropped the ball and I still don't have my bogo octane @ dealer to start NFA paperwork. 4 months turned into a promised 8 months, then the current promise is by June 29th..... One year after buying the damn thing and I'm looking at another year to get it approved. It's one thing getting boned by big .gov, but I don't see how they could have screwed the pooch that it takes them this long to deliver when they are still producing and releasing new cans.
I emailed a week ago, asking if they nearing the deadline could at least give my FFL a serial like other mfg's do so I can start the paperwork before a fresh wave of panic buying because of current politics on the subject. No reply.
Suffice I don't think I'll be considering their new .22lr switchback for a .22 can.
Went through something similar with Crux nee Templar Tactical. Was a massive pain.

I am in that boat with you.
Bought a Hybrid, no approval from ATF yet.
The free Octane45 showed up at the dealer May 23th, paperwork was sent ATF the next day, check not yet cashed.
At that time the dealer said they were expecting over 150 free suppressors from SiCo and had only received 22 of them.
I heard from a friend that his free suppressor arrived May 27th.
Bought an Omega a week after the Hybrid, no approval from ATF yet.
The free suppressor for that purchase has not shown up at the dealer.
There is a 19 page discussion about the mess here

I know of 3-4 people (myself included) in the Springs that are waiting for their free cans.
Not a big deal waiting. For me anyway. I knew they had under estimated the number of people that would want in on the BOGO sale and it would be a while before the free cans showed up.

I just picked up my Maxim 9 last month (submitted 07/18). No word on my free Octane 45 though but it is what it is.
My Maxim 9 has been a year since the check cashed @ the ATF & no stamp.
My Osprey 45 is about a week from a year since check cashed @ ATF & no stamp.
This week I got word that my free Octane 9 was on it's way to my dealer & I e-filed this time. I'll probably have this stamp before my Maxim 9 which has been waiting over a year from approval since their e-file system was down at the time I sent both of those off.
Still no word on my free Octane 45 but they've still got a few weeks to make good according to their email saying by June 29th.
I thought you had to do a form 4 to e-file. What's the scoop?

A suppressor transfer is a Form 4.
A suppressor transfer is a Form 4.
But efile on a form 4 isnt an option... It was for a while, but not currently.

Okay, I must have meant Form 1.

My free Octane9 finally showed up at the dealer today.
My Octane 45 showed up at USA Liberty Arms a week or so ago. All four NFA items from the BOGO special a year ago are just waiting on the ATF now. [fail]
