Apparently no one likes shooting in the afternoon wind at CRC on a Sunday no less. Rifle range was packed in the morning but not a sole in the afternoon and I was finally able to function check my A1 builds.

We entertained ourselves with sporting clays before heading to the rifle range.

True, point taken but it was packed in the morning.

Mornings are typically the busy times at any of the outdoor ranges I go to. Wind typically picks up and people like to get there before it gets too hot.

When I go, i go. Not going to let a little heat, wind or snow chase me off. In fact I usually enjoy those days a bit more.

Have you been out there when there was about eight inches of snow on the ground?

I did once. I know the guy in the Volvo that was stuck by the Shutzen range was very grateful that I came out that day to pull him out. I was pretty impressed he made it that far in before getting stuck.

CRC, no, I'm not a member. Another range, yes. Kinda helpful that I have a snow plow.

Bet he was very happy to see you.

[Edit] What does keep me out of the range is hoofing steels through lightning &/or mud. No thank you.

Yes as I wanted to verify zeros on my hunting rifles before Elk season.
