Really neat idea. Basically, you join a network of sighted volunteers who answer video calls from blind people to help them in situations only sight can help.

High volunteer to blind ratio, so apparently it can take a few weeks to get a call. When I first logged in it was about 136k blind to 2 million sighted.

Really excited to get my first call.

If you have an iPhone, you would just search "Be My Eyes" in the app store.

For an Android device, I have no idea as I have never once had an Android phone.

Wow, a joke really rubbed you the wrong way. Not even a joke, just the suggestion of the possibility of a joke (and even with the caveat of being an a$$hole for thinking it). Most comedic sketches do, in fact, get a few laughs at the expense of another group of people, with the underlying understanding that it’s just that - comedy, and not a real attack on those people. I humbly apologize for offending your sensibilities.
