I 've been seeing a little black bear hanging around. Curious because the little guy has a plastic ear tag in his ear. Is he a problem bear that has been relocated? I haven't heard of any bears being an issue around the area.
little guy looks healthy. Just wondering why the tag
Probably not a problem bear if he's still a cub.
Could be part of a study, or could be a problem bear, no reason why a cub couldn't have already been trapped digging through garbage.
That's true. Might be a study. They tattoo animals on the inside of their lip now as well, so you may see an animal that has been relocated as a problem animal and not even know it. I have no idea who is tattooing and who is tagging though.

Tattoos and earrings are too mainstream for punks now.
It's a she if it has a tongue piercing.

Curious, where'd you read that?
I think I spotted your bear. Ear tag and all.

It's a one-strike nuisance bear. No bear study ear tags in CO. What color was the ear tag and what number is on it? Try to get a photo of the bear and it's ear tags. (And don't do anything to attract it.) PM me if you can....

Interesting. The plot thickens.

Chris Rock maybe?

I don't mean to be vague but more information from the OP would be useful in answering the questions. When it comes to ID issues good photos are worth a thousand words.
Oh, I'm just interested is all. As I've mentioned before, I've yet to see a bear in the wild, so I love hearing stories about them. I'm going to get one, one day.
I?m heading to Alaska soon. Hoping to see some bears. At a safe distance of course.
