I think that might be the FM broadcast of the rebooted 760am. 760 was a broncos station all football all the time format that didnt stick so now they call it freedom and are moving alot of conservative talk programing onto there from 850 and 630 (all iheart owned stations)

Are they even broadcasting yet? I know Limbaugh is moving there from 850 KOA on 9-3.

I checked last week and it was still 'The Rock'. Then again, I was streaming on I Heart Radio, so maybe that was confused.

IIRC wasn't 760 a part of the failed, leftist, Air America ?

93.7 is broadcasting and has been for a few weeks. I listen to it now. They ruined 94.1/850. First they brought in that tool Marty Lentz (sp?) to the morning broadcast. I can't stand him so I don't listen in the morning anymore. Then they moved Lewis and Logan to 9am and replaced it with Broncos Country in the afternoon which is a snooze fest. I like the Broncos, but that show is BORING. 94.1/850 is going to have 8 consecutive hours of sports talk in the afternoon/evening, not even including Lewis and Logan before lunch. So it's pretty obvious iHeart wanted to eliminate 850's conservative talk base. Now only Mandy Connell is left.

And on Sept 3rd Rush will only be on 93.7 which is a good thing IMO because it sucked when his show got bumped for Rockies games.

So, 93.7 is a good addition overall.

Glad to see the radio lineups jumble again. I prefer options on what to listen. For the last year or so, Rush and Hannity were on all the talk stations at the same time. Even when you like a talk host, there are some days whey they are beating a topic to death and you just don't want to listen to it anymore. Although it did push me to explore other options like some of the Christian radio such as 560. Again, can't listen to them everyday, but they do get into interesting stuff time to time. I miss Mike Rosen.

Been listening for about 7 days. They do beat subjects to death and it gets old. Another huge annoyance is the amount of advertising.

Like Glenn Beck needed another station to annoy me on.

Yeah, about 1/3 of the airtime is adverts. The Iheart stations keep pretty close to the same broadcast schedule, so changing to another Iheart station will just get you the same ads. There are a few non-iheart stations that typically are time shifted so channel hopping can still work to avoid most of the wasted ad minutes. KGAB out of Wyoming, Glenn Woods is pretty good. KLZ afternoon Rush with John Rush is usually pretty good and mornings Gallagher can work too. Seems to be much less time devoted to advertising on the non-Iheart stations. I wouldn't mind having Joe Pags on a local station more.

Having spent years listening to AM talk radio, then programming like NPR (way less ads), and regular radio, I have to say that podcasts are better in just about every single way. I'd even venture to say that there are far more podcasts, of VASTLY more topics available than radio programming. Something to think about. As far as advertisements, those still exist on podcasts, but you can fast forward right through them.

This crowd would probably really like Ben Shapiro.

Why did Michael Brown get the boot?

This. The antenna busted of my truck like a year and a half ago and I didn't even replace it. I hear AM radio now somewhere and I'm like "ewwwww".

Even the ads on podcasts are much, much shorter/less frequency than over the air radio. Certainly not 1/3 of the show on the ones I listen to.

I thought I heard an ad that he was coming back to local radio. Something like late afternoons, maybe 630khow? Can't seem to find anything about it right now. Maybe some else's googlefu is better.

When he gets to talking about FEMA or fed gov, I find him interesting. When he bases a whole show about demeaning a person for being stupid... I tune out. Seemed like he went that direction more and more. Still rather listen to Brown than Dan (I hate weed) Caplis. I tried to give Caplis a shot, but …. I just don't like his style.

I listen to Shapiro, Jordan Peterson, Joe Rogan, and just about anybody else that has something I take an interest in.

So what kind of radio tuner do you need to listen to podcast?

Irving

Any cell phone or computer. Can download ahead of time, but I have little problem listening in the middle of no where.

Can also be played on a smart speaker, like an Amazon Echo Dot.

You can download the podcasts as MP3s then copy to a media card, USB stick, or even CD-ROM to play on your car's receiver without streaming.

Tried listening to the station again yesterday. Nope. 90% advertising and 10% content.
