XM classic rock station was playing an interview with him and his kids on the drive home, it was an entertaining listen. He did some acoustic covers of his songs with his kids on instruments, too.

Esophageal cancer is a beeyotch, works fast. My father spent a year going through chemo and radiation to fight it after being diagnosed. Was pronounced cancer free but then died about 3 months later due to nodule that had been hiding.
