While I've been a member of this list for a long time, I don't think I've ever posted anything. I guess I'll find out if I have, after I post this. I don't know if this type of message is allowed, but frankly this is important so I'm giving it a try.

Congressman Joe Neguse just sent me an email with this embedded link. The link is to a very short survey. He wants to know if you want restriced magazine capacity, stricter red flag laws, or stricter background checks. Well we in Colorado fail on all those points, but he is interested in NATIONAL legislation. Go here to express your feelings:

He's just baiting people to red flag at a later date.

If a single red flag case is ever traced back to this guy, I'll pay you $100. Save this post.

Throw-away gmail account created and survey completed. Like most of these non-scientific 'surveys', if the responses are contrary to the agenda, you'll never hear about it.

By completing this survey, you are opting in to our weekly newsletter

It's a way to gather emails to send you their "newsletter" and ask for campaign donations.

Heck, you don't need to use a real email address, I just put some fake thing in there.

VA sent me a 2 page letter last week about Suicide survey. Fill it out online and get $25, It said on the second page that if I answered questions a certain way, they would inform my health care provider and the VA police. Big red flag fishing expedition if I ever seen one. If you get one of these, answer very carefully. My experience with the VA lately is they are total effing aholes. Trump ought to fire Secretary Wilkie.

Standard quote from all members of my household is: "We do not participate in surveys. Goodbye."

This applies to telephone (when they catch me carelessly answering the phone) or in person. Mailed survey get immediately round-filed.

Out of curiosity, I checked the auto-generated throwaway email address I used today, and it had a half dozen spam messages in it.

I bet he's selling that list.

What's the point? You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into.

No, but if he's weak minded you can shake his faith in his unreasonable position with blunt application of social proof that runs against his position.
