View Full Version : Jefferson County - Anyone Got Finger Printed Recently? PITA

Last year I was finger printed so I could send a Form 1. Saw a sign that Jefferson County is no longer going to be doing this service so I figured might as well get five extra copies, thinking that will be it for collecting tax stamps. Low and behold I ran out. I checked through Jeff CO and now you have to use a third party service.

What a PITA. Now you have to find this tiny office in Lakewood Colorado in Yuppieville Belmar and be barraged with question about why I needed fingerprinting for my own personal use. I'm going to miss JeffCO as the nice ladies who worked the counter knew me on a first name basis.

Lovely- I always have used the Ken Caryl branch for work stuff and they have been most helpful.

That place at 5th and Kalamath in Denver has been doing them forever and knows the drill. There are some questions as to why you need them, but you just provide the answer and then move on.

I tried to use them a few months ago and they no longer do prints.

Hmmm, I most recently used them in Nov of last year, so not sure. They don't do prints at all anymore, or for certain things? I know they were having some issue with the state at the time. Sounds like they lost out to politics. Bummer.

Has anyone requested sets from Silencer Shop? I did mine at their kiosk... but I am planning on filing a Form 1 (or three) in the near future.

After seeing your post I look on SS website and could not find anything. Called them up and they told me you can order them over the phone. $15 a set. Wish I would of thought of that.

I wonder if you can use the prints for other necessities?

Sometimes. When applying for jobs or clearances, certain places limit where you can get prints.

Then you can order more copies at any time, $15 a two-card set.

Damnit.

I just ran out myself and wanted to complete an e-form1 SBR I've had sitting in draft for forever.

I just ordered 20 cards from the ATF and went online to double check Parker PD hours and saw this BS. Fawking useless legislators.

I used to just go there and pay $10/set for me and the wife (co-trustee). Always stacked a few ahead as well.

So none of the local PD are doing "ATF" preprinted ORI card prints?

That my understanding, I even checked in El-Paso county to make an excuses to see my parents and same thing.

I'll have to reach out to Tim @DangerLee and see if he still has our prints. Rather pay him than someone else. Hell, even if we have to drive out to E-ville to redo, rather do that than any other option.

Just ordered three more sets from silencer shop. Hopefully this should be the last of the tax stamps. A lot easier than using identgo services for printing.

If your referring to Colorado Fingerprinting I just did some with them November 5. They aren't the cheapest place around but quick and easy. They have a place on west Alameda now. I have always done walk-ins.
